Forums - Sony Discussion - Am I The Only One Who Dislikes The PSVita's Analog Sticks?

Do you like the Vita's analog sticks?

Love them 81 43.55%

Hate them 37 19.89%

So-So 49 26.34%

You're the only one 19 10.22%

Total:186

I don't dislike the Vita; however, I do dislike the analog sticks. Whenever I push them around, I feel like I have no space to move them and that things like precise aiming would be really frustrating. I thought I was the only one, until my friend told me that he tried the Vita at GameStop and didn't like them for the same reasons. I figured I'd take the question online. Am I the only one who doesn't like the Vita's analog sticks?

No, obviously.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

yes, the stick do take some time adjust to, especially the right stick. I took no time to adjusting to the left stick (my psp years has trained me well)

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I don't hate them, but they do feel awkward and too small.

Add me! :)

You're not alone. I don't like them.

Talking about handhelds, 3DS' circle pad is way better. By a long shot.

They take some getting used to.

I love them. I didn't have to get used to them at all. They feel right for me. Uncharted is badass with them, actually uncharted is just an awesome game and a very good looking one too on the vita.

I did at first, but now that I'm used to them I can beast 100+ mil scores on stardust every time.

The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

Oh dear, how do people get away with such rampant Nintendo fanboyism on here? I for one actually own both devices and the circle pad is not as precise as the analogs.

I felt the same way (too small, not enough play) until I put some time in playing the Vita. And I found that I actually got used to them...and am pretty good at the Unit 13 demo now. The sticks feel natural...just like the DualShock. And now I marvel at the tiny Vita sticks. After playing on the VIta, I played Battlefield 3 on the PS3 and it took me some minutes to get used to the DualShock again. The analog sticks on the DualShock felt like they had too much movement.
