I guess it just depends on what you consider early?

Janurary can be early in the year. So cann March. Even June can cut it. August is not early by any conventional sense of the word.

Love and tolerate.

Luigi's Mansion 2 was originally confirmed for a "spring 2012" launch at E3 last year.. now it's been pushed back to August?

Why does Nintendo insist on holding games back just so they are closer to the holidays and / or spread out more from other big Ninty releases, instead of giving them to us ASAP? It cannot have taken that long to make this game, which was most likely in development or at least the planning stages at some point for the Wii or possibly even back during the GC days. I mean a Luigi's Mansion for the Wii would have been a no brainer given the Wiimote-nunchuck setup. This is a habit that Nintendo REALLY needs to break if it's going to be successful with the Wii U and recapturing some of the core gaming market.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Hope these games are nearing completion at least. I wish that AC and the Heroes of Ruin would come out sooner but I know that there are still other games that will already be filling in that void while giving me time to save. Just wish that the Spirit Camera game wasn't priced at $40. We all know it's budget title Nintendo. Why the hell are you pricing it at $40 at launch.

I was not aware that it was going to be 40 bucks! Is that in America as well? I will not pay 40 bucks for a handheld game. I think that it got something like a 9 review score somewhere, but still, 40 dollars?

I know right. They just released Ryhthm Heaven Fever, a top teir game and got amazing scores but Nintendo went out of their way to release it for $30. I would have gladly payed $60 for it.

high tier game = budget retail price

budget game = full retail price

I don't understand you Nintendo!!!!

Even if they are indeed placeholder dates... I can't believe the amount of heavy hitters 3DS is getting this year.

Paper Mario is not for 2012, it just can't be. Too much already.

These are just placeholder dates. Lists like that do pop up every once in a while.

Hopefully one of them will get a first half of 2012 release. There's lots of games coming up in Japan that didn't get a western release date so far: Fire Emblem, Brain Training, Monster Hunter... They can't release all of those games in late 2012 and push Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing and Paper Mario back as well. I don't want a single one of those games to slip into 2013...

They have to be placeholders. They would almost destroy each other, only one could come out on the top though. August is my birth month anyway! That would be kind of cool.
I think I have AC 3D paid off now.

ahh yes,  almost forgot. Along with pikmin, animal crossing is ninpies kryptonite.

if one was beginning of the month and the other was towards the end it would fine. i see the hugelist of games coming. some will just have to compete with each other. happens allthe time.

Yes, I see a ton of games announced/coming out near the end of the year. It's going to be a battlefield! xD

Nintendo wouldn't release a pair of the most aniticipated games on the same date. They'd at least give almost a month in between, like they did with SM3DLand and Mario Kart 7. It also depends if there will be somewhat of a first-party drought within the time that Mario Tennis: Open or Fire Emblem3D releases(may 20th, given that it's the last first-party game to be released before LM2 or AC3D).
