I can understand that people criticizing someone you worship or believe to mean.

However that does not mean we should talk about it.

A "discussion" would make sense if people actually know about the two Prophets and what they did. I've already read a couple ignorant posts by people about Muhammad and it's clear to me that most people here don't know anything (or very little) about Muhammad. They would rather spew nonsense that was delivered to them from the media and other (equally) ignorant people than provide a fruitful discussion.

i'm muslim and i'm very offended by this thread

Why? Couldn't you just say "Muhammad is Better?"

Because Muslims believe in both equally, and have respect for both equally. You can't compare them. Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet of God, the same as Muhammad.

In my opinion this thread is distasteful. Why compare the two this way? All it accomplishes is rivalry and hate.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

They were the biggest con artists the world has ever seen.

Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode

XBOX Live ID, Borode

You can't be serious of course Jesus.

"Nintendo fan for life"

Nothing good can come from a 'Jesus verses Mohammed' thread.

And then you have atheists/agnostics jumping into a religious thread and reducing the chance for a discussion even further by posting unnecessary comments. This is why I hate talking religion in any medium other than in person.

While I don't believe Jesus is the son of God, I do think he had the better message of peace/love than Muhammad did.

Jesus and Muhammad gave the same message. They were both messengers of God who were selected by God to get his message across. The only difference was in their methods of providing the message and that has more to with the era and the culture they lived in rather than with their "attitude" in expressing God's words.

>implying God didn't send Jesus and Buddha to different people to spread his word

Seriously, the two had very similar lives and teach very similar things

I'm probably going to sound ignorant saying this, but didn't Muhummad say things like it was okay to harm/kill non-Muslims and encouraged violence against them?

I obviously haven't read the qu'ran myself but I think it has verses that say things along those lines.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not trying to be offensive, I actually would like to learn something.
