Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Sega says: thank you to all the wii owners that bought M&S at the Olympics

It's not that I am angry about this game I am angry that sega actually puts in online play in this game while not caring about it at all for game that will sell maybe 5 till 10 times as much as this game.
To me that's being lazy . The game would have had such a bigger replay value ( and better score ) if it had online play. That's why I am angry.

ANd please learn to read.

I got this from a dutch website and they got it from a GERMAN website so I used the GERMAN website as source. I am dutch myself I surely know the difference between dutch and german.

Also I seen the gfx before when I posted this. And they look more a like ps2 . So why they wont just put it on ps2 and wii as well and create even more revenue is beyond me.

Oh yes, the benefits certainly skew far to Sega's end. And at a time when they really needed it, too...

So you're miffed M&S doesn't have online features.

*scratches head* OK.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

@ Gamerace - Again, that strikes me as Nintendo doing Sega a favour more than the other way around

I think Nintendo is trying to make Sega something like a "second party", that's why they try to help Sega in reestablishing the Sonic franchise.

Mario & Sonic is still a "Mario sports game", but including Sonic provides a sense of rivalry that fits the Olympic Games theme very well and couldn't have been done that well with the Mario characters alone. Smart move from both companies, I think.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that Nintendo will make at least as much profit on M&S as Sega. They know which franchise is the stronger one.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

It's not that SEGA doesn't want to make a more serious game of the olympics for the Wii, they just doesn't need to make anoter game of the exact same topic when the one they already produce is a total succes.

SEGA is making a olympics game for the 360/ps3 just because they need to take advantage of such important licence.

Dont take it personal, it's just businness.

My definition of fanboy: An idiot that misses 2/3 of the fun.

Who cares. SEGA is a software company. They make games for different platforms. It's not like people buy that game and expect only Wii games from them in the future.

One thing makes me REALLY ANGRY though:

DUTCH IS NOT GERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have this hope that someday everyone posting in a thread will read the entire thread before posting in it.

That someday is evidently not today.
