I think Naughty Dog has been great with communicating with the multiplayer community. Of course, when certain tweaks or nerfing are done, not everyone will be pleased. But Naughty Dog has shown that they are willing to listen and appears to try hard to constantly update the community on upcoming patches/fixes/DLCs. As a Fortune Hunter's Club customer, I feel that my money has been very well spent. Naughty Dog has won me over with brand loyalty.
Anyone agree?
As for DICE and Battlefield 3, I agree with the fanatic battlefieldo community. DICE is shooting themselves in the foot in regards to growing brand loyalty. DICE has already taken my money for BF3, but I'm not sure if I'll be getting the next Battlefield game. Other than the Karkland dlc, I haven't heard much news about upcoming DLCs. How about some news leaks to keep us excited? Meanwhile, Naughty Dog has released 2 maps packs, 1 co-op dlc, and numerous costume dlcs, and numerous patches/fixes in respond to the community feedbacks.
I guess I also have to mention the hated Call of Duty game. I bought MW3 for the PS3, and I feel stupid. (At least I skipped over Black Ops, so I don't feel that jilted and somewhat justify my purchase because I thoroughly enjoyed MW1 and MW2. But I haven't sworn to myself that I will never buy another COD game) After Activision screwed over the PS3 COD community with the glitch-fest, vastly-inferior-port-compared-to-xbox360 Black Ops, I can't understand how someone would spend money on COD PS3 Elite to get the DLCs a month late. I wouldn't even be angry but just feel used and taken advantage of. Activision has treated xbox360 community well but I'm shocked at how Activision has maintained PS3 brand loyalty and continues to sell the PS3 COD well. Of course, I'll even more shocked (but not surprised) when the next COD PS3 game has the highest opening week sales for the PS3 platform.
