Its the same with the DS here... The shops i have asked are not expecting another shipment untill early-mid Feb! Wonder how much business Ninty are losing due to this shortage...

Yup thats why I took the time to post the monthly figures for examination also. My agenda isn't simply proving myself right but to have the right answer whatever it is. I mentioned back when we first had the discussion that I agreed it was likely some units were pushed to the US by air, my original major disagreement was with a large scale shift.

I think they likely shifted around 20% of the first week(possibly two weeks) of Jan Production into the air and got them to NA ASAP. Going by the 188k this last week that could likely mean as many as 50k extra units per week. It may seem small compared to the millions it sold during the holidays but that is by no means a small number of units.

My major problem with the original discussion was that I didn't (and still don't) think they would shut off the flow to the US completely...that would be an extremely ill-concieved plan no matter how you look at it. I'm not saying that was your position, but at the time thats what I was reacting to.

Just saw Wii ads over free TV tonight. Wonder why they are starting to air them again if they really do plan on stopping the shipment, or at least delaying them for extended periods of time.

ranzchic, because the markets need another middleman!

Apparently, it does. Hence why I'm making money.

Well, you're making money because people are stupid. Few people lost money because they believed the average American was intelligent.

I'd personally be quite content to have you make not a single dime by adding a very unnecessary channel into the mix, but if people are willing to pay, and you're willing to add a worthless service to everyone but yourself, by all means, continue. Just because I disagree doesn't mean anything.

It's not worthless, it's worth $1500 a week :)
