Forums - Gaming Discussion - Just Platinumed FF13-2 in 46 hours...Shortest FF I have played to 100%!

Well I finally platinumed FF13-2 after taking forever to get the lucky 777 fragment. Total time was 46 hours, with 5 of those being in the Casino. Must say that it was the shortest FF to date! I played 127 hours of FF12 and didn't even get all of the rare monsters. FFX was over 100 and FF7 was about 75 hours to get Emerald and Ruby weapon.

Hope Versus 13 is longer (if it ever comes out)

Did you plat FFXIII?

Was short by 2 trophies (5 stars every battle, all items). I played 13 for about 72 hours though

Unless you are that damn good. I imagine you had a guide at your side.

46hrs? That's not possible.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Oh it definitely is. I imagine I could have broke that record if I didn't mess around leveling up. I also had a guide at my side and I clocked out at roughly 54 hours.

One last thing. The Platinum in XIII-2 is NOT 100%, but it is very close. You still have all those items in Serenpdity to get via Chocobo Racing.

Sorry, I meant not possible without a guide.

I'm at 42 in XIII-2 with 85/160 fragments. It's defininetly one of the shorter ones.

Oh yeah. I very much doubt it's possible to Platinum this game in under 60 hours without a guide or prior knowledge.

Lol easily possible without a guide.

I will say though that the shorter time is in some ways to FF13-2s benefit. FF13 it was utterly ridiculous how you could 5 star the last boss then need to spend another XX hours odd grinding to hit max level and be able to beat some of the tougher foes. In 13-2 I found it much better balanced where upon completing the game you can manage against the easier sidequests and beating the easier sidequests lets you level up enough to handle the tougher ones. That was definitely an improvement.

On the down side almost nothing in 13-2 requires any strategy at all. The only one that comes to mind being the immortal where you really need to think of a good strategy. Then there were 2 battles that basically required utterly ridiculous levels of turtling -_- One was a joke where just switching between Med/Sen, then Sab/Sen was basically the only way to beat it and was beyond tedious. Otherwise everything else can be beaten with just Com/Rav/Rav then Com/Rav/Med (or if you want to be cautious Com/Med/Med). I barely even touched the Sab/Syn roles for the entire game.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.
