When is the DS3 coming out in the US?

 Good question. Does anyone know?

How much do the Dual Shock 3 controllers cost in-store, like in the US? Any given amount on the price?

Probably 49.99 like the current controller. They're not out officially yet though they're all imports.

Rocketpig - Thats only your opinion.

DualShock controller is vastly better thent he Xbox controller in my book. The staggered analog sticks does nothing for me. The Xbox controller has those huge lumps on the back side and my ring and pinkie finger get trapped in an awkard bent position.

If it aint broke dont fix it, the DS has been around for a long time for a reason. And that reason isnt because Rocketpig didnt know any better.

Now what Sony should do is package Stardust HD with the controller so Sony can have a free "game" on the top of the software charts like Wii Play. (and bloat those software totals like Wii Play & Wii Sports)

Yep, and that's why Sony wanted to redesign the controller before getting laughed at by the industry and quickly reverted back to the DualShock design.

I'm sure that was all part of their grand scheme.

I got mine from YesAsia.com, $59 USD including shipping (with a $5 off coupon). Have it for 1 month or so, it's awesome, ceramic white for the win!

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M

On my quest to try out a Wii today, I saw a Dual Shock 3 being sold in the local toy store. Seeing that there's no Wii around to keep me busy, I took the plunge and bought the Dual Shock 3.

I came home and tried it on the first game that I know supports it: Uncharted. First impressions: Wow, this is definitely something Sony did right on the PS3.

I'll test it further later and post more impressions here.

Pray tell, what did they do right? Launch it a year and a half late?

I was mildly excited about the DualShock3 until Immersion openly questioned why Sony used their old rumble tech as opposed to the new tech they launched a year or two ago.

Same ol', same ol'.

Why didn't Sony incorporate the new tech for DS3 if it cheaper you claim? Can you tell me more about that, thanks in advance.

Cant wait til it gets to europe. I like the sixaxis but i'll love playing with the DS3. It just feels right i think lol

I still don't get why it is taking Sony so long to get dual shocks out of Japan. It's not as if there's much text to localise...
