Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo WiiU gives U a reality check!

Seems pretty gimmicky. I don't see why the 3DS is a crucial aspect here. Haven't you heard that no-one cares about 3D anymore? This is possible just with the Wii U tab (which could yet end up being 3D, but don't count on it), or the PS3/Vita as well.

I read over it now again. Just seems like incoherent nonsense...

''lso what about games that use your motion. Imagine the tablet screen uses an AR image in the center of the tablet but the rest of the tablets surface image changes in conjunction with the 3D. Then using your hand you can interact with both the 3D object but assuming the touch screen is no longer stylus based could physically touch the surface''

What the hell is going on in this paragraph!? Does this 3D object have anything to do with the 3DS? If so, do you realise that the 3D screen isn't a touch screen?

I think you need to learn how to express what's in your head with other people.

The wii u controller only has one camera and that faces you. So AR is not something that can be used.

Why does reality pay in checks? Cash or Paypal please.

Tease.

hi spurgeonryan a new member here and an oldschool nintendo fan... played NES in my diapers and have fond memories of it..

That's true, but it does add another layer of detail when pointing to the TV by using the gyro.

spurgeonryan... this is a very good and innovative idea for gaming but the cost of a 3ds included with the wii u is just too steep in this economy. Also the mass market appeal is just not there yet. Unless the idiots at nintendo make a console JRPG like Pokemon and unite core and casual to use this technology then it may be a tough sell.

Joel needs the credit, he's the one to create the wall of words and Ryan was nice enough to post it.

@Ryan, why does Joel call you Splurge? XD

Well sounds cool. But what I'm really looking forward on Wii U are New Super Mario Mii and Wii Sports U featuring a motion plus lag free Tennis game.

Interesting idea, but just like the ps3/vita concept, I do not think either Nintendo or other developers would be willing to invest in games that rely on customers owning both devices. The market and the potential for profit would likely be too small. Personally I own a 3DS and wii, and a wii U as soon as I can, so I would like to see it happen.

How about Nintendo make proper games instead of whatever the hell I just read.
