Can you (or anyone) actually find a couple? Just for reference? The only one I remember lately was the press release about hitting 10m (which was followed by a statement that said that MS considers "shipments" to be sales, because they "sell their units to retailers").

Im talkingh more about official press releases, than unofficial "quotes" from individuals (that may or may not represent the company view - i.e. "Wii is two GC's duc-taped together!").

Sony IS supply constrained.

Their supply of dollars is being constrained due to suckage of the PS3 sales and low tier ratios :)

Why do you say 'even nintendo' like you're talking to a bunch of Nintendo kids in here?

Of course corporations lie, but this is stupidity lying and that's not because i'm biased.  Lying directly to someones face when they KNOW that you ARE lying (which is what Sony just did to enthusiasts) pisses people off.

It's just bad publicity for themselves and there was no need for them to 'excuse' themselves like that.

 I said that because a ton of people think Nintendo doesnt lie... and are a "good" almost christian company... trust me... this arguement was on the official Nini forums... nini was made out to be ran by Jesus...

To be fully honest, the PS3 was supply constrained in March but this doesn't mean that Sony is correct in their implication that it dramatically hurt system sales. iTrackr and many websites were reporting lower availability (which PS3 fanboys were attributing to massive sales from Motorstorm). Certainly sales were lost but I suspect that the maximum number of lost sales would be in the 5%-10% range (unlike the Wii).
