No, I want portable gaming to fade away into irrelevancy.

Also, I must say "portable cancer" is not very clever.

Why and Why?

1. Sony has no chance at overtaking Nintendo in the handheld market. Therefore, I want the market to cease to exist.

2. "Portable cancer" is just lame. If you don't know why, then you are lame.

1. thats a dumb excuse.

2. no i don't know why, care to share your glorious wisdom ?

1. Is it? We all have opinions. The fact that you try to hurt me shows that you are insecure about your own opinion.

2. You changed "portable gaming" to "portable cancer." That's not clever at all.

2. and i ask again, Why?

On the other hand, I believe people are way too harsh with Vita - except for Japan, where, let's face it, sony is doing a lousy job supplying the thing  - so it bothers me a little bit.

I think it's going to succeed in the west, they felt that if you're not Nintendo, whose games are universal, you have to choose West or East and they chose West.

(unfortunately...)

1. You said my opinion was dumb. That hurts. You gotta remember you're talking to another human with feelings.

2. You changed one word! Need I explain why that's not clever?

I love portables. The Nintendo DS is my favorite system ever and the PSP is very good too. I love my 3ds and the games that are coming for it. I am getting a Vita later after the price comes down. Right now the only game I really want to play in it is Uncharted Golden Abyss.

I certainly am. I've owned a 3DS for a couple of weeks now and it's getting a lot of love.

I just play portables nowadays. So to me, the more attention (and big games) the better.

3DS was never in a drought to me, heck, it had a remake of simply the best game of all time, so it went from good (last year) to great (late last year)!

I expect it to make to legendary status this year - and with all the games soon to be available + 2d Mario + Luigi Mansion + Paper Mario + Pokemon Grey + Animal Crossing - it's easy as pie for it to make it

Pokemon + Animal Crossing + Portable = Crack

The version "Pokemon Professor" and Tom Nook are the worst kind of drug dealers!

Pokemon and houses for free... how many people fell for that trick? How many more!

Yeah, I'm getting to an age where handheld game really has it's appeal now. Can't be at home every night, lots more travelling etc. It's just far more ideal and the Vita seems to fit what I need, provided it keeps getting the software.

Would be a shame for the phone market to swallow it all up and stuff, can't imagine playing games with only a touch screen lol.

I feel divided towards portable gaming. On one hand, when games are exclusive to them and amazingly fun and addictive (both LocoRocos were just that to me), I'm fine with it and appreciate handheld gaming. But when you start getting into a game series, such as Kingdom Hearts, and then have to buy handheld spin offs (in Kingdom Hearts' case, a gazillion of them) just to be updated on the story/lore/fiction, it gets on my nerves and I'd rather it didn't exist.

I only kept to date with God of War on handhelds and I don't think I'll do that again. Keep console series on consoles and handheld games/series on handhelds. That's my bottom line.

to be honest, I'm loving it, especially now that I'm studying in London. If I'm visiting my Grandma, who lives in the opposite side of the city, nothing is better for the 45min London Underground journey than some 3DS. I've also streetpassed with an insane number of people, if I go into Central London I will get 10 without fail. When I went to the Zelda 25th anniversary concert, I streetpassed about 130 times as well.
