Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I think Pokemon will end in another 4 games

Yea Pokemon is a cultural phenomenon in gaming haha. Not to mention rakes in the money. They'll stop making games for it as soon as people stop buying it. Otherwise too much of a cash cow to get rid of. Not to mention the games are still very fun to play.

Don't like pokemon games at all but I'd play a MMORPG like WOW based on Pokemon.

Pokemonline, anime MMORPG, you heard it here first!

hey Pokemon Ranger 2 is set to release in Japan in march if anyone cares

The best Pokemon episode ever starred:  Tom Ato, Ann Chovy, and Caesar Salad.

The Pokemon series won't end anytime soon. It makes too much money.

Wrong it will never end, much like Mario, Nintendo will whore out pokemon. This is coming from a Nintendo fan.

What bugs me about the Anime is team rocket.

I mean they're great... in moderation.

In every episode they suck because they ruin everything by trying to steal the same pikachu every damn episode and never let a story play out to it's end, or a battle play out to it's end.

That and Ash. Enough Ash. The first part of the first episode of Diamond and Pearl was cool, seeing a new trainer, new journey, then suddenly ash shows up and is annoying as ever.

Pokemon would of been better in my opinion if each season (or two) they focused on a new trainer, then after 7 or 8 seasons they would of had a world wide pokemon league battle between all the main characters, and others who made it to the semi-finals or whatever of their indiviudal pokemon leagues.

That was the kinda crap that pissed me off as a kid, and really still does today.  When they repeat themes WAY too much.

The first generation of Pokemon was just awesome! I used to be a bigger Pokemon collector, than a video game collector. I had Pokemon Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. I had many Pokemon cards, and Pokemon toys. I collected all sorts of Pokemon things, and it was fun, until the end of the first generation. Once the second generation came, I was collecting more, than actually having fun, and things became repetetive, expensive, and the magic slowly dissapeared. Sure, the second generation was decent, but once the third generation kicked in, I ended my collection. I was fed up with having to collect new series of Pokemon cards, having to buy the newest Pokemon games, and collect the latest installment of Pokemon toys. They really should have ended the Pokemon series with the first generation. Blame Ash's stupid Charizard, for jacking off, during the final battle at the Indigo Plateau. If it actually faught, and won, than the serious could have ended, and none of these crappy Pokemon games would be coming out today.

If they ended the franchise when it was still good, it would have become a legend. Now, the newer games are actually taking points away from the first generation games, since all the games are viewed as a whole. Oh well... For me, Pokemon died after the first generation. By the way, I sold all my Pokemon games, but I kept the cards, and toys. Maybe I'll buy Pokemon Yellow again, and relive the glory days. Pokemon Yellow will always be my favorite, for it was the closest thing to the T.V. show. Even Pikachu followed you around. The first generation Pokemon even look nicer than the newer additions. Some of them could have actually passed for Earth animals, or at least, looked as if they could. Now, they are all weird, deformed, and robotic. The most important thing about all of this is, Pokemon sucks now, and I used to be the Pokemon Master. Yes, nobody could beat me... EVER!

My Pikachu had 273 HP... That's unheard of... And I used no cheats. All my Pokemon's stats were incredibly high, and I only used my Gameshark to obtain Mew, and I trained that thing from level 2, up to 100! I made sure all my Pokemon were at level 100. Now, they are all gone, for I sold all my Pokemon games... I wonder if they still exist? Well, if I ever do get a Yellow version again, I'll just raise six more Pokemon, up to level 100. Doesn't take long to do it legit, especially if you have Turbo Mode in Pokemon Stadium... Wait, I sold "all" my Pokemon games, so if I only get Yellow, that I would have to say good-bye to Turbo Mode... I don't know... I would think of something.

Meh, people complain about the pokemon games having lost their touch but every new Pokemon game (handheld) gets great scores, i loved Diamond. Games lose their magic after years of obsessively playing them....i think? Didnt do so for me.
