Lot's of fans toss the term around, but really there have been very few system sellers. This gen, I can definitively pinpoint just 2 - WiiSports and Halo3. But 2008 is shaping up to be the biggest year in this generation, possibly deciding the final winners and losers before the year is out, so there is a lot riding on these titles. So which, if any, of these will have the ability to sell systems on their own strength?

 What makes you think that so many unproven franchises are system sellers ? just because fanboys in forums hype them to death?

The only real system sellers in 08:

GTA 4, Gran turismo 5,  MGS 4, Mario Kart, Smash bros brawl, Wii Fit, and may be Halo wars.

FF 13 is not coming out this year.

You forgot resistance 2.

 If resistance 2 it's a system seller we would need to add like 30 games for each console.

When i say won't sell systems i mean that it won't cause i significant boost.

Killzone 2, Too human, and left for dead i have a feeling wont move as many systems as people believe. I think that left for dead will sell alot of software though.
