While Activision are correct seems to me they're finding it's not going to be easy to try and have an exclusive deal on one console while trying themselves to offer a cross-console elite service offering as well.

Really I don't think the two are that compatible from a marketing perspective and Activision are going to face this so long as DLC hits 360 first. People are going to take Elite and expect that means they get priority - they're wrong, but to be fair Activision is trying to mix two messages here and this won't go away as a result.

Kinda makes you wonder why the hell a PS3 user would even get ELITE, hell why would anyone for that matter

That - in a nutshell - is there problem.  They're positioning Elite as giving you the uber priority and experience, but this cuts across their existing deal which gives 360 a time advantage on DLC.

TBH personally I think they should have waited until the contract expired until they brought something like Elite to the market.  I guarantee they are going to hear this complaint a lot.

Exactly, ill take it one step further and they should just scrap the whole thing.  ANother cooky idea is just go all online, since most people play for the online and its yearly released. That saves them time on making campaigns that seem to get worst every year. Keep the Spec Ops and Zombies, have every map ever made and add some new ones every few months. Charge a 5 bucks per month and there you go.

What is the point in paying for an Elite Membership if you still get treated like a second step child gamer...
It is just sad what Activision did and has said. There were no fine prints for Activision on this one, otherwise
PS3 gamers would have waited just like they always had and saved some money, but because of their deal with Microsoft, PS3 gamers have to wait and suffer. Activision has won this battle because they already have the money in their bank accounts and they won't fix things for PS3 gamers at all, instead they criticized the gamers...
That is Sad Activision.

it could be worst, at least they get the option to get screwed over

If you don't like how Activision treat you as a customer then don't buy their game. This the reason I don't buy any EA games because they treat 360 users like 2nd rate gamers.

well if they didnt say then they didnt say it. gamers.

Elite user's "Get DLC before anyone else" according to Activision.

That leaves activision to blame for this whole mess, they should of thought about ways to end there contract with Microsoft, they should of looked at other options for content then early DLC, they could of worded it better "Get DLC before non-elite users on your platform". I don't see how anyone could think that gamers were over-reacting when they learnt that they were paying for service primary for a feature that dosn't exist.

That is exactly the issue here, that gamers are paying for a service they don't get.  And by the time they do get the DLC's they are no longer

interested because it took so long and they moved on to another game.  Shame on you Activision  !

How long does Microsoft have the deal with Activision to get DLC first. Is it a new deal signed for each COD game or is just every COD game? I was just wondering...

Your an idiot if you actually thought that this would let PS3 gamers get it at the same time as xbox owners.
