What is the best battle?

Is it against the Elite Four, against Blue or a specfic gym leader?

I think its hands down  the all time popular legendary battle with Red in Pokemon Gold and Silver and it got wayyyy harder in HeartGold and Soulsilver.

Epic battle with the 3 fully evolved stater pokemon and the stupid Snorlax that was like a Tank. It was easily the most fun and hardest battle. Also the music was epic. There is saying about the battle from Pokemon fans... "you don't beat red you survive him" lol

Definitely the final Champion battle in Red/Blue. Not only because Blue/Red is the only guy to ever beat the Elite Four before you, that cocky bastard, but also because it has the best battle music in the series.

No battle will ever be as epic as Red on Gold/Silver (HG/SS),,,the setting, the difficulty, and the overall epicness of Red's team make it the best battle in any pokemon game.

Other than that, Cynthia's a pretty tough opponent in White/Black, but the battle against Ghetsis gets the cake for being the best battle on those games, due to the sheer force of his Hydreigon if you weren't prepared for it xD.

I take your battle music and raise you some better battle music!

Makes me wanna go all Ash Ketchum and buy a hat just to do the hat turn thing.

I'd also agree with lestat, that the battle with Red is probably my fave in the entire series.

Red in G/S/C easily IMO too

I've played every Pokemon game to date. I can't give a straight answer because the entire series is filled with great battles. Some in which I wish I can relive again. Man, I can't wait for the original games to come out on the Virtual Console.

There are so many epic battles, and considering what your teams are (especially on your first time playing respective game) greatly changes how you feel about each battle. I remember my first battle with Brock being pretty epic. Same goes for Blue and Red, but I've also had some pretty epic matchups in the Battle Tower/ Battle Subway.

My all time most epic battle had to be when I went up against Lance in Heartgold. I had almost no items left, my team was fatigued, I was drastically underleveled, but I still pulled off a win. Starmie, Miltank, Jumpluff, Pidgeot, Typhlosion, and Onix. My team may have drastically changed since then, but they were victorious.

The Game

pokemon blue, first time I ever played pokemon. I picked charmander. I think I might have also caught a rattata before I got the brock. O god it was awful.

When you battle the former protagonist from Red/Blue/Yellow in Gold/Silver/Crystal.

Yeah Pokemon Gold was epic as it had a big new world and the red and blue world and then in the end you face the most powerful opponent you ever face in any of the games.

Of course in the special battle arenas you face off against level 100's but everyone is the same level and such,

Anyone find some of the final fights in Pokemon Black to be hard. One of the elite four took 3 tries and the champion and boss took 2-3 tries as well.
