I think if I ever was involved in a retail game market/distribution I would insist that the game has a bright yellow with maybe a little bit of black for the cover art ... and the game would have to start with a letter between C and N so that it sits up there next to the maddens and call of duties catching everyone's eye. I wonder if marketing types in the game industry think about this stuff when they make cover art / come up with game titles.

I have my moments : )

I have crazier ideas too ... blinking/light up covers, and, best yet, a game case that yells at you and demands that you buy it! It could use one of those motion sensor things that some greeting cards have which would then play a sound. I imagine that would get annoying though.

I suppose one day when we are all chipped we will have those cool personalized advertisements like in Minority Report.

Did you guys realize that they took the (already colorful) Japanese boxart and added EVEN MORE stars, sparkles, colors and general LSD nonsense? The Japanese one was ok, but this is stupid. Guess the original artist is overjoyed that somebody from NOA/NOE barfed another 17 photoshop layers on his work.

Holy Crap! That is a ton of stars a shiny things floating in the sky! I don't really mind it but that is a ton. At least they didn't do this:

I actually like it better with the glowy stars, it looks less dull. And notice it's much better than the one in OP (pasted in quote). Either it's the american one versus the PAL one, or the image was just out of contrast. ;)

Well they have to be consistant with Sakurai's games making the MC either frowing or mad looking when they are happy in the JP box arrt.
