Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3D classics Kid Icarus is free in NA .... if you preorder Uprising

Gamestop, Best buy and Amazon only

Pre-ordering Kid Icarus: Uprsing at GameStop, Best Buy, or Amazon will earn North American customers a download code for 3D Classics: Kid Icarus, a remastered version of the NES original. The remake, though faithful to the original, contains new backgrounds and 3D graphics.

Download codes for 3D Classics: Kid Icarus were previously given away in Europe as part of a Club Nintendo promotion.

Nintendo has also revealed that a new difficulty scale called "Fiend's Cauldron" will be included in the game. The scale allows the player to adjust the "intensity" of the experience from 0.0 to 9.0. High difficulty will reward the player with more hearts and better weapon drops from defeated enemies can be collected. Nintendo states that the "standard" difficulty is 2.0, and notes that the scale can be changed in incriments of 0.1.

Nintendo of America has also confirmed that customers in North America will, like those in Japan, will receive a stand for the 3DS with the purchase of Kid Icarus: Uprising. The stand is designed to free both of the player's hands to control the game.

Kid Icarus: Uprising launches March 23 in North America.

Cool! You get rewarded for buying KI:U! (well if you had a Club Nintendo you practically get "rewarded" all the time.)

Sounds cool, but im not that interested in the game anymore; the dialogue in the trailers was awful imo.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Damn me being out of the country. It would definitely be a day-one if i were in America...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I swear I'm the only person on the planet that actually owned and enjoyed the original Kid Icarus on the NES, Beat it, too.... not a hard game at all, the problem is that the first two stages are much harder then a lot of the later stages.

You are.  I consider myself a gaming guru and I didn't even know about Kid Icarus until the Captain N cartoon!

Epic, ... absolutely epic. Nothing beats the 90s guys.

But one thing though... Kongoland? :S  Anyway I need to admit I never got past the 2nd level in the original Kid Icarus, so I might actually get it on 3DS as a 3D classic :) Those damn dancing reapers are creepy.

Captain N is one of the reasons that I always throw a lot of support to Megaman and Simon Belmont in Smash Bros.  roster discussions.

Highlight of that show for me had to be when the team visited Castlevania, and metrosexual Simon Belmont had to take on Dracula with the help of Drac's skate board riding, hawaiian shirt wearing son:  Alucard.

Does every US version also come with that nifty 3DS stand? Or is that a EU-only thing?

Apparently we're getting this with every copy of the game here in Europe.. o_O
