So Mario Party 9 is as good as the DS one or not'

Yes. Mario Party 9 is and has been getting great reviews from everyone. If you like these types of games I highly reccomend that you pick it up when it comes out. Go through this thread and look at some of the reviews and videos on it. Gonna be a lot of fun! Also if you are looking for a fun party game, Rthym heaven is out for the Wii as well in the West. Bad sales, but a fun game!

Tell us how it goes! Also lots of good e-shop games out now as well.

Capcom insterested in more Resident Evil for 3ds!

Nearly two years after it was first announced, Resident Evil Revelations made its way into stores to strong critical and commercial reception. Having an exclusive entry in such a major franchise has only continued to boost the Nintendo 3DS's reception in the global marketplace, but the simple fact is the system will need continuous support of this level in the years to come.

Given the fact that Capcom managed to deliver Revelations as well as Mercenaries 3D inside of the first year of the 3DS's life, and given their reception, we asked producer Masachika Kawata if he saw a future for Resident Evil on the Nintendo 3DS. Did he already have new ideas - and would he be interested in bringing them to full production?

"The incredibly positive fan reaction to Revelations has definitely given me motivation to make another 3DS RE title," Kawata told us in an interview. "I have some ideas in mind. However, I have a lot of other projects that need to be taken care of first."

That might seem like any potential and future Resident Evil projects would be a ways off, right? Not so fast, survival horror fans...

"I must admit," Kawata continued, "Hearing players say how much they enjoyed Revelations does kind of make me want to forget the other projects and get stuck right into making another RE game for fans to enjoy (laughs)."

When we conducted our interview, Revelations had just debuted in Japan and was the #1 selling game in the country. Noting that this game had a more old school, survival horror focus than other Resident Evil games, we asked if this commercial reception encouraged him to continue this approach with future installments.

"Of course!" Kawata told us.
"Game development is always a very taxing process, no matter what the project, and the only thing that gets us through is the belief that, at the end of the journey, there are people waiting to enjoy the game. So if a game sells particularly well, then we have good reason to make more titles like it."

Though by no means any sort of official announcement, it sounds as though more Resident Evil on the Nintendo 3DS is certainly a possibility. Capcom managed to produce two games remarkably fast - here's hoping we can get some more just as quickly.

Stay tuned to more from our interview with Kawata-san as well as Revelations director Koshi Nakanishi.

Now, that's good news for the 3ds!

That is what I have been waiting to hear. An actual gamer say that it is the best in the series. Thanks for the feedback!

Bowser Is Evil In The First Few Minutes Of Mario Party 9

We've recorded the intro scene of Mario Party 9, the ninth installment in Nintendo's popular multiplayer series that will be out on March 11 for Wii.

Lots of Bowser's minions make an appearance, including a Shy Guy, a Lakitu, and even an adorable little Wiggler. Check it out.

I think its GREAT! Third party developers are always so afraid of creating games on Nintendo consoles. Glad to see that Capcom recognizes that the Resident Evil franchise does well on Nintendo platforms!

Does Mario Party 9 actually have a story? If so, what is it about? Mario's Party?

That Wii U Price Rumor

There's a rumor about the price of the Wii U floating around and it seems legitimate because people are sourcing this site from Japan. But, the site they source is a regular, English-speaking blog about the Wii U who say: "Yeah, this is what our super-secret source has said".

Now, I love rumors. But I don't feel like the rumors about the price have any weight to them. I believe the site spreading the rumor is fabricating the rumor, and I don't believe Nintendo has decided on a price. $299, as the rumor suggests, may be a ballpark figure, but that's it.

It also makes no sense that, supposedly, the Wii U would cost 20,000 Yen in Japan, which is only $250 USD. But why would Nintendo charge less for their system in Japan? The economics don't make sense. Japanese people earn more money, and there's less of them compared to the United States, which is why the 3DS is more expensive in Japan. None of it adds up.

Basically, be skeptical. Be very skeptical.
