You see, it is up to the game developers to make that choice. You don't need PS+ to play Warframe, or Final Fantasy XIV:ARR. You don't even need PS+ to play Netflix and other subscription services..but, you do for Xbox LIVE... Goddamn this Thread is OLD.

Right, cheap games that nobody wants and you're just paying for the 'honour' of accessing online multiplayer, that's why ps+ has millions of subscribers already with a 95% satisfaction rate. lol

Remove online multiplayer from the xbox paywall and you have something no one would pay for. Remove online multiplayer from ps+ on ps4 and you still have a valuable service worth paying for. Of course there will also be people who pay for it just for multiplayer but they will still get good value apart from that whether they know it or not prior to subscribing. 

Is sony better than microsoft? Of course not. They're both just corporations that want your money. But trying to equate the xbox paywall to ps+ and pointing fingers at people willing to pay for ps+ but not xbox live as if they're hypocrites is just plain dumb. 

Are you working for Sony in PR?


Its true what he's saying. He's not sticking up for Sony. A lot of sites have been talking about the same thing, saying that PSN+ gives Xbox Live a bad name.

Oh cool another PS+ vs XBL argument.

XBL trumps the hell out of PS+ as an online gaming service.
PS+ trumps the hell out of XBL as a membership discount/game rental service.

Technically who cares? Technically XBL is free. We're talking about paying to play online.

Not every Playstation gamer likes multiplayer and cross chat and all the goodies outside of multiplayer will always be there free. Xbox Live Gold is the truest of all paywalls in gaming.
