On a positive note, we'll see new and fresh consoles soon enough with the way things are going

Yeah this might push them to release thema bit sooner, the Wii U still probably won't release until around September though.

I just remember the excitement over the internet when PS3/Wii were announced (didn't follow the market as much when 360 launched). I want to have such an experience now with Xbox 3 and PS4 :D

Do you not care for the Wii U?

Horrible numbers, and horrible, baseless adjustments... Again.

Like when we adjusted the 360 and PS3 before NPD, there is nothing released that says it needed an adjustment up.

I see Wii going sub 100k in just a few weeks

Looks like the 360 and PS3 will probably fall below 100k rather soon as well.

It's possible but I think unlikely as both consoles have a lot more going for them .. who knows really.

Wii's numbers are pretty much as expected considering it is being replaced "soon" and I can't think of any last great games to send it out with a bang ..or at least with some dignity.

PS Vita is getting seriously drilled in Japan.

Wii will average 98,000 per week this year, and will just miss thew 100M mark in 2012, or may not top 100M at all.

Those are some depressing Vita numbers. Also Wii's and DS's days are counted.

not really. no major software, then hardware dosn't move.

I dont see how that stops it being depressing numbers?

That may be the cause, but they are still depressingly low.

(what i thought when i saw this post) what!

sadly i'm missing the point. i must be depressed by something else not to see what you're talking about. yea i'm sure the numbers are depressing to some, but they know why so i don't see the shock value.

And it seems like it'll keep going down especially since I see no games coming up. But it's now time to start the rough sales season so it's hard for all of them.

US sales weekly? Or 98K WW?

US sales would be great but I meant WW, Selling just over 5M in 2012. 98.9M sellthrough as of end of 2012.

^ they have Mario Party 9 for March i think, than it has Last Story and Pandora`s Tower - all for Europe. In the US i think it`s just MP 9 and Xenoblade.

I think MP9 will help keep HW sales from falling further... i hope!

I had forgotten about that game. Could be, but is it really a big seller? Last Story and Pandora's Tower will do nothing for Wii in Europe. At least I don't expect them to

Mario Party 8 sold nearly 8 million copies, so I'd say at least one or two million for MP9. Could be way more though given the success of Just Dance 3. Now, if it's a big system-seller or not remains to be seen though.

I'd consider the PSP to be the chock value.
