I hate it when gaming websites try and report this as news. Seriously even asking the question is beyond stupid. What were they expecting?
'Oh yes we were going to announce the console then, but well here you go now we have announced it in this tiny article. Just stop buying the 360 now!''

Whether or not this particular rumor is credible, I believe that this is the case. I don't think that Microsoft will make their new console a focus at their E3 '12 presentation.

I do think they could mention their next-gen plans, possibly even showing some target videos, but I believe that anyone expecting anything as extensive as what we saw of Wii U last year is going to be disappointed.

All I read from his comment is that they have nothing to announce "at the moment", which is obvious since he isn't just going to announce anything in a random interview.

E3 is far beyond "at the moment", so there's a fair chance if any of MS announcing their new hardware there.

On a separate note, I hope to god that they announce something at E3, another year of kids and grown men dancing around the stage is sure to cause me permanent blindness, especially when I see absolutely no real hardcore games on the 360's horizon.

ALL next-gen consoles will be shown off in some fashion at E3. There is no doubt in my mind.

C'mon, Microsoft! Go for the goozle! Force Sony's hand along with Nintendo, make the industry shift beneath your feet!

lol Whenever I hear/see SONY saying they have a 10 year plan I think of those communist government reform like Stalin's 5 year plan and Mao's cultural revolution. Does this happen to anyone else?

Halo 4, GTA, this is the banner year for the HD systems. New consoles are coming no matter what they say.

Can you feel it in the air? It may be January.... But with each day E3 gets closer and closer. Say what you want Microsoft, we all know what's coming (I've been wrong before though... I still remember all those Newton rumors )

E3 '12 is starting to remind me of E3 '06... And that's a good thing. Excite!!!
