Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumor: Nintendo Working On Two New Zelda Games For Nintendo 3DS?

A rumour has surfaced that Nintendo is currently hard at work creating not one but two Zelda games for the Nintendo 3DS, much like Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. According to the source the first game is titled The Legend of Zelda: Fire Prophecy and the second game is titled The Legend of Zelda: Ice Prophecy. Nintendo has already confirmed that they’re working on a new Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS.

I hope they are better than the oracles...

Smells like Rapid Development to me... Nintendo is pumping out software. I expect the quality to either decrease, or if we're lucky, that it's outsourced to a quality dev like was done for OoA and Seasons.

Don't know... Sounds awesome, but the picture at least is fake.
You can tell, because the Japanese subtitles are grammatically wrong.

Correct would be の instead of を.
And then I think Nintendo wouldn't use the word "prophecy" in katakana (プロフェシー), but rather the Japanese word: "yogen" (予言or預言if they want a slight religious touch)

Exactly what i was going to point out. Kai no Prophecy would be the correct term, since prophecy is not a verb.

Also, has Nintendo used katakana at all for recent Zelda games in Japan? I didn't bother looking for games like Spirit Tracks, OoT3D, or Skyward Sword while i was cruising the game stores here, so i haven't seen whether Zelda games are even named in Japanese in Japan

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Skyward Sword was in katakana (and I think it's the only one with a katakana-only subtitle). That's why many Japanese can't pronounce it correctly. :P

By the way, Spirit Tracks is 大地の汽笛 ("steam whistle of the earth") in Japan.

@KHAAAN

"Skyward Sword" is indeed written in katakana. I'd check other recent titles, but my idiotphone shows non-latin characters as "?".

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

2 companion games?

Hmm.

How about a new single Zelda game AND Majora's Mask 3DS?

Might be possible, who knows for sure?

Here's a list of all Zelda games I can think of. Only Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are katakana only.

『ゼルダの伝説』 The Legend of Zelda

『リンクの冒険』 The Adventure of Link

『ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース』 A Link to the Past

『ゼルダの伝説 夢をみる島』 Link's Awakening

『ゼルダの伝説 時のオカリナ』 Ocarina of Time

『ゼルダの伝説 ムジュラの仮面』 Majora's Mask

『ゼルダの伝説 ふしぎの木の実 大地の章』 Oracle of Seasons

『ゼルダの伝説 ふしぎの木の実 時空の章』 Oracle of Ages

『ゼルダの伝説 風のタクト』 Wind Waker

『ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース&4つの剣』 A link to the Past & Four Swords Adventures

『ゼルダの伝説 4つの剣+』 Four Swords Adventures+

 『ゼルダの伝説 ふしぎのぼうし』 The Minish Cap

『ゼルダの伝説 トワイライトプリンセス』 Twilight Princess
