I LOVE ICELAND!

From Italy:

I think i am almost at the end of it and it's great, it has the old nightmare style with some puzzles, they were rarerly difficult in the whole series, the most use the touch screen that is really good for this kind of things as you know.

It has some action in it, but done good because it's done with the T-Virus.

It has also really an innovation to the series in exploration and it's a big return to limited ammo and other stuff. In fact you can take limited number of 'em with you, you have to explore and found expansions packs like the old times. And it has also a good system of weapon modification, very much deep than RE3.

If you love the series and you can afford a cut-priced 3DS, and the game of course, you have to.

I'm also a little afraid that RE6 will not be so good.

Ronster, you're making me want this game more... as if that wasn't already possible.

That is all.

Played through the campaign mode on normal and is currently playing the "Hell mode" of campaign (both with the cirlce pad pro). I really love the game. The atmosphere and grafics are great and the controls are good (especially if you use the CCP). I'm gonna try out the raid mode when my friend gets the game but it seems promising.

I recommend this game to any Resident Evil fan or hardcore 3ds owner. It is a great game.

I thought I would add my view on the circle pad pro (CPP).

I have played about an hour of the game and it is fantastic with the CPP.

I was one those those people who wrote hate mail to Nintendo abut not including a second controller under the buttons when the first 3DS images come out. However, after using the CPP, I am kind of glad they didn't.

Yes it is tacky because it is an addon, but what I like is the shape and weight. This may be my personal opinion, but it makes the 3DS so much more natural to hold as it feels like a genuine controller.

I hope if they ever revise the 3DS and add the second circle, they also make a plastic cheap cradle to hold it.

What are the thoughts from europe on this so far? Looks like it's getting positive reviews on the UK amazon.

The story uses a structure like a TV series and jumps around between various locations and protagonists. Jill is the main character and the only one who can equip upgrades and the like. Some people might not like this approach too much, but the story itself is perhaps the best written one in the franchise. There's still cheesy dialogue, but that's part of Resident Evil. The game is rather short, shouldn't take more than ten hours to complete. There's of course a higher difficulty and several unlockables. Overall, it's a good mix between suspense and action.

The Raid mode is more than the minigame most other Resident Evil games have. It features 20 stages based on the campaign (each between 5-20 minutes long) and is all about action. You can choose between various characters from the campaign and each one has their own little special abilities. The level up system is tied to your profile, not the characters, so you can switch between them without any disadvantages. A higher level allows you to equip better weapons which are either found in the stages or bought from the shop, using either the ingame currency or the play coins from the 3DS system. Weapons can be upgraded just like in the campaign. Each weapon has a number of slots that you can freely assign with the upgrades you found or bought (meaning you can de-equip the slots and use the upgrades for another weapon once you've got a better one). This mode is highly addictive and is perhaps even better than the main game. You can play it alone or with a partner, either locally or online.

So... campaign is on the short side, but Raid mode makes up for it. I don't see how a Resident Evil fan cannot get at least 30 hours of gameplay out of this game. The production values are among the best on the 3DS and the controls work well even if you don't have a Circle Pad Pro peripheral. If you like this type of game, it's a must-buy. I guess after Mercenaries it's also worth noting that you can delete save states and there's two save files.

Thanks rol, you're my most trusted European on this site!!!!

No.
It's just not my type of genre.
