Sorry don't have an exact number but I'd guess around 25-30. All Game Boy/Game Boy Advance. Mostly Pokemon/Mario games for GB/GBA.
Never Owned a Nintendo system thats not handheld. I only got into gaming in 1997, I know that cause my first (console) game was NHL 98. It was on the original Playstation.
I've had Game Boy Colour, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Advance SP! Then I switched over to PSP.
Wii 3
GC 7
N64 18
Snes 0
NES 0
Total 28
Were I to have included that I have ever owned I would be well north of a hundred, but as time goes on I sell off my old consoles, and sell off the games. I just traded in seven Wii, and GC games a couple months ago. The only thing keeping me from selling my 64 off is that I would get next to nothing for it.
This raises an interesting question about the Wii. Those that own the Wii why haven't you sold off your older systems. Nintendo records VC purchases, and you can erase and download games an infinite number of times without an additional fee. I can see a real value in library compression. Would there be a reason you haven't done this yet.

The games were bought over time. There was a time when you could get a lot of NES games for a little, and that's the time I got most of my NES games. A lot of my GameCube games were bought when Circuit City had a massive $5/game for new games sale (a lot of games were included). Just smart shopping really for the most part, although for some things if you want them you're going to have to shell out the money. I guess if you want a where it was from many different sources, including everything from eBay to local stores to trading and more. Since I don't usually sell games, they tend to accumulate. |
