Any recommendation for a mystery anime that isn't Monster?

Need a good anime fix for this winter break.

Case Closed/Detective Conan is probably one of the best mystery anime out there.

^ Dont mind the character himself, he is going through some transformation - also the anime is like over 500 episodes ;p

Edit: Currently on 679 I believe.

There's also some mystery to this anime but its mostly targeting other audiences but you might like it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higurashi_When_They_Cry

It has a somewhat of a sequel series to it called Umineko but it was cut short :(

I'm a couple hundred episodes in Case Closed. Actually 311 to be exact. I got bored of it and stopped watching it about 8 months ago. I watched the first 100 in arabic in 2004 and 2005. That's how long I've been watching it. I'll go back to it eventually.

Y'know I was thinking "oh I just watched a good mystery series" but it wasn't anime, it was the BBC rendition of Sherlock.  It's great, btw, if anime isn't a requirement for ya.  Sadly I can't think of a great recent anime that gave me those "ooohhhh" moments that I expect from great mysteries.  Closest I can think of are the "mental battle" animes like Death Note and Code Geass.

Ya know. I've been wanting to watch death note for forever. I think it's finally time that I watched that. Not a fan of Code Geyas. I watched like ten episodes last year before I started to cry "over rated".

Dantalian no Shoka would be mine. It's completely different from Another, but I think the episodic nature of it is a nice change of pace after Monster and Another.

Yeah you can only be a serial for so long before you've run your course.  Detective Conan needs to start dealing with his kid issue.  But the show's a juggernaut in Japan, I don't expect it to change anytime soon.

Finally gave in to watch To Love Ru Trouble Darkness. And wow the animemation is beautiful and the show still has the humor. So they decided to include more Shounen and I cant wait to see where ther go with this.

Anyways is there an uncensoured version. I want to apprecite the shows art with all its glory.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

You would have to wait for the BD releases  in order to get TLRD uncensored.

Yeah, Kinda crappy cause before they just left the random nudity in the anime, but not anymore :(.  On anothe rnote, I finished watching The Ambition of Oda Nobuna.  I rate it as average.

Edit: Bandai's stuff is expiring on Crunchyroll.  They made it clear they're not gonna renew them :(.  Good thing I still have my Gundam Wing dvds.  I hope Manga picks them up or someone so I can stream them.  I've only ever watched Gundam Wing and some of Seed (Which I didn't like).  I'd like to watch G Gundam atleast but there isn't enough time before they expire.  And why is anime so expensive?  I was looking at HMV and 12 episode anime are like 40 dollars!
