After looking at Winter charts, I muse say the upcoming season is boring.
I see some adaptations of series I've already read and were quite... unsatisfactory. One of them is Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru, for which manga after first few chapters turned repetitive and too generic. No hope for this one. Haganai S2 isn't much better - I haven't seen the first season, but somehow I managed to read the novels all the way to the seventh volume. How did I make it that far - I don't know, probably only because of Maria, Kobato and the MC. Yozora and Sena are unbearable. Argh.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha piqued my interest, since I'm reading one of three (sic!) mangas for it, plus the yonkoma... Not sure what to think of the series, since it's quite nice in itself, but they chose the wrong artist for it~
I suppose I might end up watching Ai Mai Mi, which seems to be your typical plotless slice-of-life, as well as GJ-bu, on the same basis. Might pick up Da Capo III after confirming the continuity (or its lack) with the previous series.
I'm moderately afraid of Kotoura-san, whether it will go generic harem or not. I'm also worried about Vividred Operation, which might turn into another Fractale - bored me to death after four episodes, and even the promises of action in the next episodes weren't able to bring me back to the series.
I don't know what to think about Tamako Market (plotless KyoAni moeblob? Or maybe something more - like Chu2koi - somehow?), Yama no Susume (will it go Tamayura or AnoHana? I certainly didn't enjoy the latter that much)...
Heck I've gotten picky. Then again, it's much easier to read novels/manga than to watch animu lately~

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is getting adapted?  Sick!  It, for whatever reason, reminds me of Spice and Wolf.

Said every internet anime fan ever. *yawn*

Each season has plenty of great shows.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Panty and Stocking 2 seems to have disappeared from the lineup.

Boo!

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I will watch whatever comes my way... and well... KyoAni show ;O

yeah, Naznatips seems to have that sentiment every season and yet I always find more than enough enjoyable shows to watch.  Just give everything a shot and some things will be worth sticking with.

each and every season!

I'm the same way. Some things disappoint and others surprise. It's just how it works, just don't be cynical and you'll enjoy it all more.

Any recommendation for a mystery anime that isn't Monster?

Need a good anime fix for this winter break.

Y'know I was thinking "oh I just watched a good mystery series" but it wasn't anime, it was the BBC rendition of Sherlock.  It's great, btw, if anime isn't a requirement for ya.  Sadly I can't think of a great recent anime that gave me those "ooohhhh" moments that I expect from great mysteries.  Closest I can think of are the "mental battle" animes like Death Note and Code Geass.
