Does anyone know if the Circle Pad is like the 3DS's? Is it smooth? But a great thing to hear that it is comfortable! I was kind of worried about it being too heavy.

I have read, and of course made a thread on it, that the circle pad is actually very comfortable. Light weight as well. Battery life is good, but it is held by a screw! I would think that after a while it would wear out quickly!

No one has said anything about battery life yet and if they have and i somehow missed it plz post the source

Wow, took me a while to find my posts. Here is one source for battery life if you are still waiting, I added the price rumors to the other thread.

That’s for the circle pad attachment for 3DS…

i thought you were talking about the WiiU pad

Lol! I thought we were talking about the Circle Pad pro. See bold.

LOL! Ryan your off track! I got off guard when you said it was held by a screw. Nintendo is calling there new analog sticks "Circle Pads."

I am confused. The new control has the pads on it?

The Wii U controller? If so, yes. They're just like the 3DS's except two. Also Nintendo is calling them "Circle Pads."

Ahh. I see now what you guys are referring to.

What was the battery life of the game gear? Answer that and we have vgchartz rumored battery life of the wiiU padtroller.

5 Hours. -.- It better be at least 8.

I say since or if it is expensive, just have a charging station come with it. I hate batteries!

Can't someone invent some sort of wireless charger? I mean who want to charge anything? I have a house and car charger, but my phone is always dead#

Those do exist but not for people to have at home as there is too much radiation (I think this is the right word) which will cause cancer

I’m guessing it will be about 5-8 hours since it’s not an actual system

What are half of you talking about? When has Nintendo ever had a bad controller!
1. NES controller made me forget about the Atari controller in a heartbeat,
2. The SNES controller dominated the Sega controller in my opinion,
3. The N64 controller is quite possibly the greatest controller ever created,
4. Gamecube controller was comfortable to use and finally gave Nintendo gamers more options.
5. The Wii controller, while some may not like it too much, it was very creative and Zelda makes it great!

Nintendo never fails when it comes to controllers, this will be no different (99 percent chance of excellence).

1.  No issues there, the NES controller was one of the biggest evolutions in gaming since the original joystick, and is still the basic foundation for all modern gamepads.

2.  Same as #1, only even better!

3.  Now here's where I start to disagree with you.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the N64 (second fav Ninty system behind SNES), but the controler was only great for games designed specifically around it like Mario, Zelda, Goldeneye, Banjo, etc.  Playing more traditional games especially fighters (except for the WCW/WWF games by THQ) sucked with the controller.  The analog stick is very uncomfortable, especially when compared to its contemporaries, and it wore out very easily as well (thanks, Mario Party!)  And the D-pad?  pretty much useless. Except for certain wrestling games again.

4.  The GC controller was comfortable, but that's about all it had going for it.  This was a classic case of Nintendo being different just for the sake of being different.  Awkward button placement with those kidney shaped buttons and that giant A button in the middle paired with a tiny B button that would constantly stick or "deflate"  (so frustrating!)  The analog shoulder triggers with the extra button clicks were pretty much the only innovation of the controller.  The C-stick was awful with its little nub top instead of being the same shape and feel of the main stick... playing FPS games with it was a pain in the ass!  And to top it all off, the damned thing looked like a Fisher-Price accessory.

5.  The Wiimote is a love it or hate it thing.  Again, much like the N64 before it, it's great for games specifically tailored to it, but it sucks schwetty balls for more traditional gaming.  And forcing people to play some of the best games on the system like NSMB Wii and DKC Returns by holding the Wiimote sideways as the ONLY control option has got to be the most assinine decision ever.  Who cares about tilt sensors and motion controls in a 2D platformer??  That's what all those extra buttons on every standard controller out there are for!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

You liked this spastic monstrosity?

I FUCKING loved it! I would use that even know if I was able to.

Granted, it does feel better than it looks, but I still have no idea how I managed to play 100s of hours worth of Goldeneye on that thing. There's no way in hell you'd use that when a dualshock 3 or 360 controller is available! Unless you're a mad man!

True I would not want to use it now, but at the time it was revolutionary.  It worked fantastic for introducing 3D games to the world.

Since thing is kind of non-specific, if you are talking about the middle prong (it was called the trident controller) it was where you held it while using the analog stick which made reaching it a  bit more comfortable. (The controller was kind of big for the time so only people with big hands could reach stick comforably.)

If you are talking about the underneth of the controller. There was a z-button trigger that was the replacement for the L shoulder button when your hand was there. And there was the expansion modual which was used for memory cards, the GB adapter, the rumble pack etc. (The GB adapter made the controller look like it was themed off of a bad Star Trek ship.)

Well I am sure they are trying their best to do the best!
