I'm looking for the name of a TV series. Like one year ago someone here on VGC (might have been MrStickBall) made a thread about it and recommended it. I think it was a series in the sword-and-sandal genre, set in ancient Rome or possibly Greece, kinda like the TV series version of 300. It was supposed to be much better than the HBO series "Rome" (which sucked). Lots of gore and dark.

Has this series aired on German TV Barozi? It sure hasn't here in Sweden, so Im planning to download it if it's good.

It's fairly recent, yeah. I've never watched it, but I guess you get to see Xena: Warrior Princess' titties, so I assume it's good.

Nightline was a series about a guy who's a journalist by day, sword wielding barbarian by night.

My brother watched it. He says it's quite entertaining. But also that half of the episodes consists of sex scenes.
Only on Pay TV here at the moment.

First 3 or so episodes are nothing special. The rest of the first season is amazing and definitely worth the watch. Then there's Gods of the Arena and the upcoming Vengeance if you want to watch more.

Got it on instant stream on Netflix but I have yet to watch it. I am almost finished with The Tudors. Not too sure what series I'll start next... I was thinking maybe Arrested Development since my friend that recommended The Tudors and Trailer Park Boys said it was good.

Also, did you just say that HBO's Rome sucked? What?

I only saw a few scenes.  It seemed a little slow but I'd probably enjoy it more after almost finishing The Tudors.  The only scene I remember is of a Roman officer having his way doggy style with a woman on the side of a road.  I believe his men might have waited in formation for him to finish his task.
