Probably because coach Belicheak is considered to be an asshole as a coach and that they have been good for so long that many people are tired of it. All I know is they seem like one of the most hated teams in the NFL and people love to make fun of Brady calling him the Devil when Tebow was Jesus. I do not think everyones hated, but there will always be haters of the most successful of any thing that can be dominated. It just goes with success.

I don't care for the Patriots either.  Their coach is a jerk and their QB looks like the guy that stuffed the scrawny kid into a locker in gym class.  I'm only picking them because I'm in this to win it.

If we actually used the point spread for beating on the game it would be more fair. Still I have to say if i was allowed to pick, I would be picking the underdog either way. 

Trying to come up with reasons Baltimore will win and am not finding any.
