Lebron James and Derrick Rose missed free throws were pretty ugly yesterday. A part from that, James was huge. Hope he takes over the team from D Wade as he is (imo) a better player

The Knicks are on the rise and the Nuggets are falling fast.

Jeremy Lin!!

The Nuggets finally broke out of their slump and won a nice game in Indiana.

Weird thing is that the Nuggets are the only team undefeated against the Eastern conference ( 9-0 but only 7-12 against the West) and they have actually played some tough eastern teams ( they beat the Heat in Denver, the 76ers in Philly, the Pacers in Indiana and the Knicks in New York.).

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Nuggets beat a Knicks team in disarray. Good players that didn't fit the coach's system. They might not stand a chance against a rejuvenated knicks especially with Gallo out.

For years I've not watched basketball being that knicks haven't ever been a contender, so it was hard for me as a kid to get excited. Now I'm really paying attention as I'm living at home after college and knicks may be a 3 all star team (Lin, Melo, and Amare').

I think Amare will work well with Lin. I have more doubts about Melo as he is a ball hugger...

I generally agree.  But I think you need isolation play to balance out, or rather coexist with team play.  Isolation play draws double teams which creates good team play.  And team play prevents double teams.  It's synergistic, much in the same way that good defense creates good offense and vice versa.  You need both if you want to compete agains the absolute best.  Lin brings back a team that was imbalanced in isolation play since Melo was forced to be the point gaurd before.

Amare' and Lin may be great together, but Melo may be a key piece in being a top playoff team.  Plus, every great player needs someone to carry the team when they inevitably go to the bench to rest.

Don't really have a team anymore. I used to like the Kings back before Webber got injured. I also enjoyed the Mavs during the late 90s when they still sucked (right when they got Jason Kidd (the first time), Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, etc. Before that I liked the Bulls of course because of Jordan and Pippen. I suppose I like Dallas the most now but not really because of pure bandwagon fan. I always liked Dirk since he is blond hair and German. Considering I am both (only a little German in me) then I gotta stick up for what few white guys that are left in the NBA.

Lin has played great, leading the Knicks 5-0 (without Melo and Amare for 4). I'm not sure when they come back but it will be interesting to see how they play.

EDIT:

Daaang I'm watching this video on NBA.com and they pull out a very interesting stat "Most points scored in first four starts" (Since ABA-NBA merger in 1976-1977)

Jeremy Lin                    109
Allen Iverson                101
Shaquille O'Neal          100
Michael Jordon            99
Billy Ray Bates              99

Jeremy Lin is above some heavy competition.

And to think there is a story going around right now from a sports writer saying he is only getting this attention because he's not black. And that if he was black they wouldn't point out his skills. but the stats you showed prove that's bullshit. He's getting noticed because of skill
