They should pump out more WiFi than 3G models since that would be the smart thing to do...

Too expensive, the 3g version should be cheaper than the wifi because you need to spend a monthly fee for 3g.

It is just a matter of time before they all get dropped. I actually feel really bad for whoever bought it early as they could get screwed over bigtime.

If the console arrives in the UK at its current price it will be dead on arrival. £230 for bog standard version. Then £40 for the memory card and £30 for a game. Meaning £300 just to get the thing with Uncharted. There is no way in hell people will pay that amount of money. That is double what the 3DS costs.
Sony will need to lower the price by at least £80, include the memory card and a game or it will be in big trouble. You could get a 360 and a PS3 for that kind of money!

every one is missing the point its not that -people have 3g is vitas problem its the fact that sony is competing with the biggest name in the handheld market--

for 20 years no one was able and still is not able to out sell it,
and i dont see it changing at all unless nintendo says ---ok guys we are done , i dont see any one beating them at their own game just face the fact that sony did 3 mistakes once again the same ones they did with psp their doing it all over again

1- higher price then competition plus the fact you need a seperate card to play games especally the main one i want to play which is already caugh 50 damn bucks
2- battery life is half hour less then 3ds on max settings and on min 3ds can get 6-7 half hours and 8 playing ds games

3 --- its teh games ill say it again no one wants to play call of duty on a handheld when they can play it on a bigger screen and no one wants ports well not all some ports are good but if the majority of the titles end up being ports- ill be getting the 360 wii u versions, that said im sure theres many that will do the same how many of us travel again? very hardly -- and when we do we want somthing that is not possible on home consoles or somthing uniqu and fun and thats what nintendo offers - -
not only does it offer its big games off home console but its able to create somthing just for the handheld such as pokemon or nintendogs or steel diver ,

then when you got third party doing the exact same thing for the 3ds -with games such as puppies 3d sims 3 pets-different play style then the console version thats one thing to be noted they do not play the same

like bloodstone on the ds ,, i have the 360 and ds version the ds version is more lengthy and hard the 360 version while it looks better-- its easy as fuck i like games with challenge and since 3ds is offering this more so then vita currently is -- - its going to outsell vita there is nothing sony can do about it except get games that people actually want and secure their exclusives ---ps1 any one

they have not been doing this since ps2 that is why the majority of games are available on multiple consoles! and with the wii and 360 out selling ps3 sony isnt doing somthing right

and they diffenatelly took a step backwards with psvita- from psp go-they had inbeded memory also even with launch psps you had a starter memory card with the unit -known as the pro pack the vita is launching at the same price but is not giving you a memory card which is ridiculous since this time its actually needed to boot a game much like pc back in the days had those boot diskettes for older games even after u installed and have the cd in there lol ,so ya

I have also seen the commercials for this advertisement.

It is only one store (that I know of) and it is an after-holiday sale, not just on Vita but a lot of games..

And it is also a discount only given if you buy other stuff like games with the Vita.

I have been. But I say it about all nonphone devices with a cellular option. Its just dumb.

PSVita is selling better than the PSP did in Japan though isn't it...

Perhaps Sony should just ship less 3G units. It's rightfully unpopular since 3G is abysmal for gaming.
