Forums - Gaming Discussion - Move/Kinect VS conventional controller

Which is better?

Conventional Controller 44 84.62%

Motion Sensing Controller 8 15.38%

So what do you prefer, your standard controller or the motion sensor controllers?

I gotta say that old style conventional is for me, motion controllers just seem unreliable, light heart-ed and not for me

Standard controller is more versatile (right now). There's not much you can't do with them. MoCo's are better in certain situations but you just can't beat "old faithful".

1. Regular Controllers (Good for EVERYTHING)
2. Move (Good for games that require fast aiming and spatial manipulation)
2. Kinect (Good for party, health fitness, Fruit Ninja, and voice commands)

Depends on the game. I play more with conventional controllers though so I'll pick that.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Motion controlers are like arcade sticks - good for few genres and nothing else.

Most games play perfectly well with a regular controller, but motion games aren't nearly as fun without the motion aspect

it depends. if you think about it. theres no way you can determine velocity with a controller. motion controls ads a little more excitement to games.

wouldnt you feel more thrilled about a move headshot or a kinect tennis ace than controller?

because you have to put real effort into making it happen of coooourse as cenk would say.

not every controller game have a big complicated control scheme. also realize that what a controller can do with a complex scheme if program can be done in a simple gesture hadouken.

kinect with a controller and pointer would kick ass.

I think the potential for controllers like Playstation Move, Kinect and the Wiimote is huge but the technology and the understanding of how to use them hasn't evolved to meet their potential
