Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rumor: Splinter Cell Coming To Xbox Fusion (Xbox 3), Assassin's Creed 3 Coming To Wii U

Dual Pixels

Recently, a reliable source that is very close to the gaming industry leaked Dual Pixels some very interesting information. This leak includes many things, but things really stuck out. Two series of the Ubisoft cabinet will re-emerge on both the future Xbox and Wii consoles which are Splinter Cell: Next-Gen, Assassin's Creed 3 for the Wii U.

About 7 months ago(give or take) Microsoft filed three trademarks. One being the word/phrase "Fusion", and the two others having to do with the word fusion. It is suspected that the reason behind the three trademarks will be the new Xbox, the "Xbox Fusion".

Splinter Cell is a series of stealth video games. The first game was released in 2002. The main character, Sam Fisher, is a highly trained black ops agent in a made up sub-division of black ops named NSA. The point in the game is to complete the objectives and be as discrete as possible, whether it is hiding, taking unknown routes, or making diversions for guards. This game was also used as a marketing tool when made an exclusive title for the Xbox 360.

Then we have Assassin's Creed for... the Wii U!? Yes, Assassian's Creed 3 is coming to the Wii U! According to Brandon Brown here at Dual Pixels, "It has the power to play all current gen games". Well that will definatly change when the PS4(?) and Xbox Fusion come out. I personally think that a lot of kids own the Wii thus leading to lower sales vs. Xbox and PS. It is a smart move expanding the horizon for the game, but at the same time I am not going to go out to buy Assassin's Creed for the Wii U.

No doubt the Wii U will get its fair share of ports from the end of this gen, however I`ll be playing AC3 on my 360.

Not sure how I feel about the name Xbox Fusion, would have been satisfied with 720 myself. Will be interesting to see what direction MS take with their next gen name and kinect.

Reliable my ass, that fusion trademark was for Fusion genesis, an XBLA game.

This site has just made up a load of crap to get hits.

First Xbox720? Than Next Box? Now Fusion....although it does sound cool..but eh, I rather go with Xbox 720 lol

As for Splinter Cell, hasnt the series died down last few years? Poor man's Metal Gear Solid lol

SC and MGS are nothing alike really, certainly not a 'poor mans' MGS when SC has plenty of games rated 90+ ...

And no, Conviction came out in 2010 and is the best selling Splinter Cell (by sku basis) since the original which came out like, a decade ago ...

I think Seece just pwned this thread although I wouldn't be surprised if any of the thread is false(except the fusion part). New Assasins Creed and Splinter cell are no brainers...

Assassin's Creed 3 coming to WiiU is pretty obvious

I don't really have anything to add to the OP but I find it amusing how people (myself included) want MS to choose a made up generic name like "720" or " Nextbox" as the name of the next console. I like Fusion because it would make sense in a few different ways but I'm not sold on the rumor.
Oh and those old Splinter Cell games were the shit when they came out, I had more than one nerve wracking/frustrating yet fulfilling experience playing those games. I wasn't feeling Conviction though and I'd really like a new SC game to bring it back to the first few that came out.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

They all suck!

I'm still routing for Infinite.

Nah that's too all encompasing and final. Like how when you were a kid and would pull out the infinity card in an argument. I like the idea of a name that has to do with an open and evolving meaning. Infinite is like....ok now what, you win...infinity, lol.

Oh my, I just realized you could be talking about the SC games and you want the Bioshock game. If that's the case then I seriously will question your credibility dude, I must know.
