She's bad at the game. I got the bird statue first time, it was easy.

Oh great one, please enlighten me as to where I can attain such skill and poise.

By the way, she passed that part and it has been easy peezy for her ever since.

You're lying just to aggravate us. You might have tricked the other fools but you aint gonna trick me ;)

I had no problem at all with the controls, but i understand how it can be a little confusing, not needing to point directly at the sensor bar but instead find a "neutral" position every time you use the item...it can get a little confusing but the directional pad fixes that situation every time and makes it more intuitive an enjoyable.

Once you figure out and master the controls, this games in excellent, after beating it , it left me this nice feeling of accomplishment... and i'll say it now, a true masterpiece.

I hope your mother is enjoying it now that she got through that frustrating point, it´s so cool that she like to play video games, my mom also plays some, guitar hero metallica ( hard difficulty ) super mario brothers, wii sports, bomberman to name a few =).

I would never lie when it comes to Zelda.

I love the series too much, lol.

ALRIGHT! SHE DID IT!!!!

She said her problem was that she was trying to catch the bird icon above the bird and not the bird itself, LMFAO!

Anyways she is relaxed now.

What an awesome time I just had. Seriously made my day.

That was my issue with the beginning of the game. The controls themselves are not hard, but their instructions regarding the controls are sometimes off (or worded on such a way that i did not quite get). I had a harder time with the skydiving tutorial, and i figured it out later, but it is rather daunting when you're trying to orient yourself for a whole new gameplay system

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Tell her to wait for the Wii U version.

She just got herself a Wii back when the Black MKWii bundle released, so I doubt she will get a Wii U.

Alright, so she just called me back, lol.

Here is what I had to endure:

"Alright Justin, what the hell is going on here? I did what you said and they are now throwing rocks at me."

"I went up to the sky, back down, up to the sky, back down, trying to pick up speed. I finally get up to the stupid bird and it says press A so I did that. This is pissing me off!"

So I said: "Ok, and what happened when you listened and hit A?"

She says: "The stupid fucking bird of mine dashed over the bird in front of me so now I have to do this stupid shit all over again!"

So yeah, according to my Mother it is Gamespot +1.

A game shouldn't cause frustration like that in the first 30 minutes to an hour, especially a Zelda game lol.

I wonder how long before she calls me again.

Your mother seems nice

She is very nice, but can get easily annoyed by something like what happened today.

First off, your mom rules... my mom likes Zelda too, BTW.

Second, I agree that there is a learning curve for some people; but she sounds like a fairly seasoned gamer having enjoyed all prior Zeldas, so I think she'll probably get the controls down eventually.

Personally, the controls in the DS games were the ones that turned me and my friends off the most.

I can't believe your mom being a Zelda gamer never mentioned how "improved" the visuals were from Twilight Princess. Honestly I can't really notice the difference between the two games when it comes to controls, amount of lag (both games had quite a lot) and visuals. I being a huge Zelda fan before Twilight Princess came out and a fan of the series before Zelda SS came out. I'm really disappointed with the Zelda this generation.

Neither game has lag bro. It's your LCD tvs input lag. My LCD tv has a 'game mode' so i don't get lag. Wii suffers the most input lag due to the amount of upscaling.
