Forums - General Discussion - How people spend their time on their game consoles.

It's rather impressive that less PS3 owners play games yet the tie ratio for the PS3 is very near to the 360's so the guys that do play games on the PS3 buy more games.

I almost exclusively use my consoles for gaming, mainly offline. The main exceptions are with Blazblue on the PS3 and Monster Hunter 3, Mario Kart Wii and Tatsunoko vs Capcom for the Wii.

I play uncharted 3 online about 9 hours a day, currently at 1st legacy rank 75 and will go on to the next legacy probably later today after a couple hours of play to get full use of my FAL-SS, so I don't have to wait till I get to 50 again =[ I have a lot of people on my friends list that are almost always on as long as I am maybe even longer, so I don't see why the % is so low.

I game when I get the chance, which is probably 10 hours a week but my 360 goes on when my tv goes on. It is such a habbit now, I load 5000 microsoft points every month and blow most of that on Zune movies or spent time watching sport on the Sky App.

Of those 10 hours gaming, 5 is probably spent online.

I have now stopped buying Blu-ray so my PS3 has not been switched on for a good couple of months, this might change next year 'coz I bought UC3 so as soon as I finish Skyrim, MW3, Batman: AC, AC: Revelations and Rage on 360 I'll get to it.

I don't own a Wii or any handhelds but I do game or read on my Kindle App on my mobile phone when commuting to and from work.

This list shows that the Flynn effect is reversing.

so all three consoles are still mostly used for gaming, but the ps3 and wii are getting alarmingly close to being used for none gaming more often then gaming.

Not a phenomenal amount of data. How about comparing the amount of time spent on each console, then breaking it out by percentages?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I expect the streaming / video on demand numbers for the 360 to increase significantly over the next year with the new dashboard update and available apps. Everything else seems about right from my personal experiences with each console and with other people who play each console.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
