We've all seen people say this since the PS3s launch. "IT AIN'T GOT NO GAMES!!!!!!"  But those same people seem to have overlooked the Wii's library in the same time period. Its' first year gave the Wii Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel, RE: UC, Zelda, RE4: WII Edition, Zack and Wiki, and multiplatforms like COD3 and GH3 (I tried to keep it to games WORTH mentioning.....none of that Carnival Games crap). However, on the same time scale, the first year gave the PS3 Resistance, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank: ToD, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Unreal Tournament 3, Virtua Fighter 5 (timed until 360 release last year), Singstar (EU), Folklore, and then mulitplatforms like GH3, Assassin's Creed, Orange Box, etc.

Yet I still see people everywhere trying to pull that "PS3 has no games" mess. In the same year, the amount of quality titles put out by both PS3 and Wii are just about equal, yet people are still ragging on the PS3 for some reason. I don't want to make this flamebait, I just want equality (sounds kinda weird to try and get equality out of people's opinions, doesn't it?) But still, the Wii's success doesn't change the quality of it's current lineup. Nor does the negative press, for the most part, change the quality, or lack thereof in most people's eyes right now, of the PS3's lineup. They both have great games that warrant purchasing either/both consoles...but it's just all the PS3 hate that's STILL going around that just irks me.

at the end of the day, the point I'm trying to get at is if people want to still say "PS3 has no games" then they should have been, and still should be, saying the same thing about the Wii since launch

Personally I like the type of games available on the PS3, while the games on the Wii simply don't appeal to me, so based on what appeal to me, it's the wii that has no games.

That's how I see it myself.   There is nothing that the Wii has that really intrigues me or makes me want to have one.

 The games that are on the PS3 to appeal to me and I've been busy playing games on the PS3 and enjoying every moment of it.

360 has no games and that's a fact.

Well they both have games. I know that by the end of 08 I will have more PS3 games because I have been a PS fan since the PS1. But both have great games at the moment.

From what I see the PS3 has a fairly good line-up of third party multiplatform titles, and the Wii has a fairly good line-up of first party exclusive titles, neither console has a decent line-up of third party exclusive games (all of this is obviously taking into account the age of the systems).

i think youre right in saying both platforms do have a decent enough line up and both have a good amount of games for the amount of time they been on the market. i own both platforms and own 8 games on wii and 5 on ps3 (just got the ps3 recently and got the wii at launch).

but to be honest i think there is a reason when people say ps3 has no games, its either because they are haters, or because they would expect more from sony due to the last generation. everyone knows about the game libary that ps2 had, and i think people expected sony to give the ps3 an impressive line up this past year, which they have halved managed to do.... well this is only my opinion anyways

It's not that the PS3 doesn't have any good games, it's that it doesn't have many good exclusive games and the good multiplatform games it does have are often better on the 360.

If anything, the 360 often has an automatic leg up on 360/PS3 games with achievements.  Not trying to be a hater here, just go look through gameRankings or whatever website you prefer.
