I love these stories. Nobody who has a Galaxy S2 phone has a big problem, and quite a bit of the trustworthy sites named it the best phone of the year( or the Galaxy Nexus). People are happy with it and sales show that. The only people not happy are WP7 owners. Thankfully there aren't many. And LOL at waves comment as well. |
I have an LG Vortex. Now, by and large this was a budget phone even one year ago when I got it with my renewed Verizon contract. With that said, the hardware itself is actually admirable and I rather enjoy it. However, the problems I've heard of other people having with their Android phones seem numerous, and I find myself sharing a few with them.
The most prominent is the fact that the system seems to, on occasion and not all the time, turn the screen off when I enter my pin/password. This isn't a hardware problem, it's definitely the Android system being bitchy. It's incredibly annoying because I have to restart the system to fix it.
Next is another occasional issue with entering my pin where somehow it stretches the vertical display like it was meant for horizontal; meaning there are numbers I simply cannot access when entering my pin. Again, requires a restart to fix.
I've had a few others, but I trust this will suffice. My point is that, this phone uses Android 2.2 and it has some pretty unsettling issues. It's not a gamebreaker, but getting these issues on occasion is rather annoying at best.
I'd rather not get an iPhone, so the only other option besides Android and iOS is Windows Phone. I got to play around with the AT&T one on display at a local Best Buy. I simply can't wait for my contract with Verizon to expire so I can get one. I'm not too big into apps, so I think a low priced Windows Phone that doesn't lag while using its interface like my Vortex will be great for me. :)
