I was wondering whether or not I was wrong here but I was under the impression that Super Mario Bros 3 would be one of the ten GBA ambassador games. If so, any reason why this game was not included?

I don't think we all went retarded but maybe, just maybe, we all thought they meant Super Mario Bros. 3 (which was stupidly named Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3) instead of Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. Nintendo's naming of the Super Mario Advance series (which began with Super Mario Bros. 2, instead of Super Mario Bros. 1) is one of the first signs than Nintendo had gone crazy.

Does everyone who buys a 3DS automatically get these free games?

Yea, that kind of bugged me back in the day but I sort of just shook it off.   I believe they had the guy that was in charge of labeling the Rabmo movies.  First Blood, Rambo: First Blood II, Rambo III.  While it might seem right, the title First Blood just doesn't make too much sense to keep the name for the second movie.  Least they didn't have First Blood in the title for the third movie...

The 5 confirmed GBA games were:

Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Metroid Fusion
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames

It was then RUMORED that 2 of the last 5 would be:
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

But it was never confirmed and a few days ago they revealed the last 5 to be:
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Wario Land 4

Cheers for the info.Clearly I have read a rumored title and mistakenly took that to mean confirmed. Never mind still ten great games and hopefully we get to download super mario bros 3 anyway at some time.

Downloaded mine over the lunch hour. Quick and easy. Super Circuit is the only one I have in Cart form so there's a lot to be played.
