A true hero. He was responsible for the single greatest moment in American television history.

Good night, sweet prince. I know you were an avowed atheist, but wherever you are, I'd like to think you're flipping off the Real Time audience for all eternity.

A shame to lose a strong voice for rationalism when we need it

Granted, i don't support the militant atheist position, but their influence is needed to counterbalance other forces

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

He was a smart guy but I do not like "I am smarter then you" vibe from these guys.

The atheist argument has a ton of valid points does not require one to act in a smug way towards everyone.

Fuck... Such an incredible guy.

Devastating.... I just started really looking into the guy and listening to what he had to say, and now he is gone. Sad, poor Dawkins has lost his partner in crime.

A true loss to any rational being who likes debate, intellect and eloquence.

R.I.P.

The name is familiar but that's about it.

I never related to Christopher Hitchens myself. I was always turned off by his brash* way of dealing with things. But that said, I know many people who were massively influenced by his work and I can see him being dearly missed as an inspiration to those people. My condolences go to his family and friends.

(although admittedly articulate, almost artistic and carefully thought out)
