Nintendo must be over the moon. They've sold 2.5 million consoles this week in comparison to Microsoft and Sony, who have sold under 1 million each.

Also, the 3DS is looking more and more likely to reach 16 million units by 31 March 2012.

Aren't they losing money on every 3DS unit sold,or something like that?

It's 16 million for the fiscal year, not total sales.

3DS needs to sell around 19 million total at 31 March 2012.

Wii did well, but will still below the 360 in americas for the rest of the year, solid WW numbers.

Sweet Americas figures for 360, I'd like to see it do better in Europe though, and APMEA is just a dead region for 360 unfortunately.

Pfffff lol, as you well know at this stage in the game it's about market penetration and Nintendo are winning big at that with the 3ds. Besides, virtually all reports about the losses being made on the 3ds suggest they're fairly minimal. I'm fairly sure Nintendo will be bringing out the champagne bottles this Christmas.
