yeah, It's great to see Skyrim higher than MW3 this week, too bad the Ps3 version has that bug

definitely getting Mario Kart, Skyrim, Skylanders, Skyward Sword and MW3 after I'm done with these damn tests
: P

also, everyone complained how Skyward Sword sales could be better, but still Ocarina Of Time is doing so good on 3DS, so i believe 100000's have pirated Skyward Sword on Wii

piracy killed PSP software, Wii still resists somehow, but hardcore games are the most pirated, I'm afraid Zelda could be a victim, like when Sega announced in the past that House of the Dead: Overkill was downloaded 1m times from torrent sites, which is sad, and probably a reason hardcore sales on Wii are less and therefore no more hardcore games for Wii : (

Ps3 and Xbox360 were close to e hacked, but MS/Sony avoided it, hopefully Nintendo can avoide it with 3DS when it comes..... : (

Oh, they have been hacked alright. Especially 360.

I know, but they pushed a hell of updates and fixes, restricting online, banning and stuff, so avoiding mass piracy

but Wii is hacked badly, someone can play any game through a usb, like with the PSP when playing a game from memory stick.... : (

i know a hell of people that have hacked PSP's and Wii's, simply download a game and play it, they don't even need a modchip or to burn to a disk, this sucks

Yeah and not to mention that you don't even need a Wii to play all its games.

Too be honest, this is one of the causes that the wii has weak third party support. I think Wii has lost at least 10% of software sales because piracy, majoritary third party games. In Brazil, I see there's three types of Wii users: 1) Super casual, bought the Wii because fo the Wii Sports, and only have 1 or 2 originals games, that came with the System and nothing else; 2) The piracy friend: Only have 1 or 2 games orignals that came with console, and has a Wii hack or buy pirate games; 3) The less of 5%: Has more than 5 originals games for the system.

This type of situation I don't see with the owners of the PS3. If I would guess a number of PS3 users that buy originals games I would say: 90% at least, and who I know has about 10 games each!

Xbox 360, for your turn, it's almost in the same situation of the Wii, but now with Microsoft Support I can see the sales of games rising a lot.

And maybe (almost a certainly) this is one of the factor that in the big stores that I know (in different cities and states), I saw that among the 3 consoles, around 15% of the games is for Wii, and 85% for Xbox 360 and PS3 games (almost equal for them), and this too be optimistic about the Wii. In the past years the Wii support was bigger than today and the Xbox 360 was smaller.

Hardware sales otherwise, I think the three system is very close nowadays.

Ps: This numbers are my creation, so obviously are hypothetical.

Sorry about my poor English.

3DS really selling well. Price is where it needs to be and more desireable titles are releasing for it.

X360 good to see up YOY by that much. Its now the main console of choice in Americas. Im pretty confident we will see it surpass Wii console sales in Americas in time.

Wii stilling making a strong showing during the holidays, but still down quite a bit YOY. Wondering if we will see an official price drop to $99 sometime shortly after Wii U releases to the market.

PS3 is really hitting its stride in Europe and AP/MEA as the console of choice during the holidays. Wii is still fairly strong during holidays in those regions and X360 still doing strong in Europe overall. I think it is also the case that its only a matter of time before the PS3 surpasses the Wii in sales in the Europe region.

DS, PSP nothing really to add.

Damn 75% of X360 sales came from America. I also laugh at analysts that declared deticated handhelds dead and that Mario should move to iOS. Really how can those people call themselfs analysts? Everyone with brains knew immediately after price cut that new nintendo handheld with two Mario games will sell gangbusters during holidays.

and if you include the UK (which seems to shadow Americas culture) a whopping 83% of 360s were sold in these 2 countries alone. Its impressive that it sells so well there but surely something MS are quite concerned about.

Looks like more devs should just start stop with bug testing.... Looks like it works with Skyrim.

like cliff bleszinski said, it's not possible to realeas a game like skyrim without some stupid bugs. the ps3 problem is not so cool but everything else is just normal for this kind of game. if people don't understand this (this will happen forever in elder scrolls games) then they just should shut up. millions of poeple play skyrim and of them there are some thousands with huge problems. how many testers should bethesda employ to find every glitch? maybe 10k? even then, there would be some glitches which they didn't find in the months before release.

only possibility would be to finish the game, let it play 100k people for nothing and after half an year they release the game loool

i had more problems with two worlds than with skyrim or oblivion but nobody was tslking about that because it was only two worlds and not this huge franchise. if two worlds would be as huge as skyrim everyone would complain about that game.

I'm pretty sure very many people complained about that game, which is one of the major reasons it didn't get 90+ on metacritic. But now you see the same thing with Skyrim for PS3 and yet it has 92 on meta...

it'S just normal that these kind of games have these problems (except the ps3 save problem). it's not like uncharted or cod where they exactly know what you will do and everything. i mean cliff bleszinski said that this is pretty normal for this kind of game and he didn't try to defend his own game with that but he knows how it worls. i bet bethesda had plenty more people testing skyrim than naughty dog had for uncharted or so but still many people say they don't even try to make a game without glitches. sure they try it's just not possibel.

i played morrowind, oblivion and skyrim i think like 800 hours and i did never have a huge problem. i know one of my friends had huge problems with oblivion but after playing 800 hours i can really say it's not as bad as some pople try to let it seem. i had problems with two worlds and two worlds 2, with the witcher 2 and with all other western open world rpg's and i know the next games will have plenty of glitches as well which most of them are  just irrelevant

for example many people complain anout the enemy following you and then "glitching" on a stair anywhere in this huge world. sure this happens but in other games they don't even follow me it's easy to say that in cod this doesn't happen when the enemies stay on one special point. then there are some quest problems sometimes for some poele which i did never have in any bethesda game included fallout 3. it's no wonder as well that other games don't have problems here knowing exactly what you will do first. in skyrim i can decide what to do and if there is one stupid problem when i do one quest and then the other  the tester would have to play exactly the same quest after each other like me to see the problem. these are a lot of possible ways to play quests in diferent orders

Good to read good news from Sony .

Even here the PS3 is UP YoY 5%.

Waiting software sales (aka GT5).

But most of the major problems are limited to the PS3 version. It's quite clear to me that they don't treat the PS3 versions of their games equally to the 360 version. They could easily have spotted the save game bug if they had played it long enough.

people complain about elder scrolls games since they are there. not only the ps3 skyrim version, that'S what i'm talking about and i said as well that the ps3 problem is another story but this is just the ps3 version but people always try to say bethesda doesn't trry to fix glitches and so on and this is not true.

I wonder if Wii could do 1M next week, 900K minimum.

I love how well Skyrim continues to sell, shows how good of a game it really is. If it keeps up these amazing legs it could end up being the highest selling RPG ever made.

I see that the 360 not only does good in the US but the rest of the Americas as well. Maybe that manufacturer plant in Brazil is really helping the sales of it.
