Yeah and not to mention that you don't even need a Wii to play all its games. |
Too be honest, this is one of the causes that the wii has weak third party support. I think Wii has lost at least 10% of software sales because piracy, majoritary third party games. In Brazil, I see there's three types of Wii users: 1) Super casual, bought the Wii because fo the Wii Sports, and only have 1 or 2 originals games, that came with the System and nothing else; 2) The piracy friend: Only have 1 or 2 games orignals that came with console, and has a Wii hack or buy pirate games; 3) The less of 5%: Has more than 5 originals games for the system.
This type of situation I don't see with the owners of the PS3. If I would guess a number of PS3 users that buy originals games I would say: 90% at least, and who I know has about 10 games each!
Xbox 360, for your turn, it's almost in the same situation of the Wii, but now with Microsoft Support I can see the sales of games rising a lot.
And maybe (almost a certainly) this is one of the factor that in the big stores that I know (in different cities and states), I saw that among the 3 consoles, around 15% of the games is for Wii, and 85% for Xbox 360 and PS3 games (almost equal for them), and this too be optimistic about the Wii. In the past years the Wii support was bigger than today and the Xbox 360 was smaller.
Hardware sales otherwise, I think the three system is very close nowadays.
Ps: This numbers are my creation, so obviously are hypothetical.
Sorry about my poor English.
