Good call bro. I remember the first time on X-mas me and my brother didnt know what to expect and ....BOOOOOM!@!!@ it hit us.  Inprinted in the brain for the rest of our lives is FF6,  and its most memorable
cast.

Wow, I never knew that song was in a game. Cool. I like the JP intro ver. better though, w/the lyrics. I'm a big Bump of Chicken fan :D

I'm also still a big fan of the Wild Arms 1 intro. Haven't played the game since what? 1997?, but I still like the intro :)

Well it isn't a game, but my favorite "beginning" is easily Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...I greatly prefer the book but the fact that the movie opens with the earth exploding is truly just about the best start you can have...unfortunately before the end of the movie its back..but if you read the books its gone for good in the end!...of course he died with plans to write another book so he might have brought it back again =P

The only two openings posted here that I was able to make it through were Wild Arms and Final Fantasy 8. Great music for both and even though many people bash Final Fantasy 8 it doesn't change the fact that it's opening rocks.
