Ps3 released quite alot of exclusives this year. And MS did also...
But they focused on Kinect games instead like Dance central 2, Gunstringer, Kinect Sports Season 2, Adventures of Tin Tin, Disneyland Adventures, Kinectimals, etc.
They focused more on casual exclusives than core and hardcore ones.
Sony in the other side released more core-Hardcore games which are more notable than MS's Kinect games. However, Sony sacrificed its "Move" market for that. Basically abandoned it.

I have yet to find a game that makes me scream for more like Halo does for 10 years now.
I own every game with "Halo" in it, finished it and played it online for literally hundreds of hours. I read the first 3 books already and will have Halo 4 on preorder as soon as the collectors edition get announced.
For me, and this is all about personal opinions just like the OP, Halo is THE franchise. One Halo game is more than 3-4 games a year. You probably heard a female scream when Halo 4 was announced this years E3 - that was me. I am still not making threads to convince other people that Halo is the ultimate game.
Personally I pick my games, because of quality and taste. Not if they migt be available on other platforms as well.
This holiday season I bought Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Halo CE:A. I will get Skyrim, Rage, Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports 2 this xmas. I know I am heading towards the 30 and still want to have videogames as a xmas present even though I can afford these games myself.
So 8 games, 4 exclusives, 4 multiplat, 2 casual titles.
Just stop this "I like XXX better than YYY and you should, too!" It doesn't work like that.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Those are the dumb fan boys that can't name any real exclusives lol, but yes the ps3 is definitely king of console exclusives this gen seemingly in both quality and quantity.

they got some cross platform play games coming as well. some of them exclusive to ps3/psv, and ps3/pc. games like portal 2, dust 514, ff14, and wipeout hd
