Nice list.

Well, I think that Adele will continue "slaying" album sales.
On the singles front, I think that Rihanna will be the winner since some songs of her last album have big potential to sell well, yet, her album won't.

This recent album of hers was not very good I did not think, but the one with the controversial music video was pretty "POP".

I also think the same. For me, Rated R is her best album, where the songs actually mean something rather than sex and more sex. I don't know, but as a fan of her, I wish she would take a break, just as she did before Rated R was released.

2011 will show an increase in overall sales, first time since 2004. In September total sales were up 7,2%.
I remember reading in Billboard a couple a weeks ago some decrease, but still up, 4% ??

Vynil continues to grow up, but still less than 1% market share.

releasing an album too often results in a loss in quality, like Rihanna and Lady Gaga

in my opinion, the only worthy song from Rihanna's new album is We Found Love, and her abum is already under Adele's this week, and in billboard too....

Lagy Gaga had some great songs in Born This Way, but no real ultra hit like she had in 2009/2010

on the other hand Adele relased 21, and for me, it's been since 2004 (Avril, Evanescence, Green Day etc.) to listen to such a powerful album

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Thanks to the Zune pass, I won't be contributing to these sales numbers next year... But its not like I did this year when looking at all those top 10s.

Wonder where the new Megadeth album is at in terms of yearly sales. Number 666?

Any predictions or did you just copy and paste from my top cheats thread? :P

HAHA well im only really interested in the hiphop sales and the better albums from that genre really only went gold or a lil less. The carter 4 sucks and watch the throne is sub par they dont deserve those sales.

Have you listened to any of it? I'm curious hear some opinions on that album.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

With Christmas coming we all know that even though CD sales are on a downward spiral, they still become very strong at this time of year. So will any albums coming out in the next few weeks or this past year be able to overtake Adele by January 1st, 2012?

With Album sales so low right now, will she overtake next year as well? Adele did have her album titled "19" in the top ten for a while this year, and since she has had surgery she says that she may not have another album for years.

There's absolutely no chance any album will be able to overtake Adele's 21 this year. Also are your sales numbers for the US only? Because last I checked 21 was closer to 12 million sold than 4.75 million.

Signature goes here!

Yes i have...its megadeth for better or worse.  they are too good to make a crappy album and too old to make anything new and grounbreaking.

if they released this instead of youthenasia or cryptic writings in the 90s, it may have made a big impact, but today its just another metal album.
