That's amazing, because i never would have thought that the 360 would pass the NES's 62m before the PS3, that's so a 50/50 console war this gen ! But I stick with my opinion, the PS3 will win in the end as poorer markets tend to be Sony fans, and more the price go down more the PS3 will improve against 360. 360 is only more successful than PS3 in US and UK (which are rich counties and don't wait the prices to go down as much as poorer countries), all other markets favor the PS3. Moreover, Sony consoles have always been sold in far more countries than Nintendo's or Microsoft's, and those extra countries are poorer and will wait the PS3 price to go down... And Microsoft is more likely to release the 720 earlier than Sony, but nothing is sure...

Face the facts. PS3 wont overtake Xbox this generation. Maybe Next Generation the Next PS will sell more then Xbox. Xbox beat Sony this Gen, sorry

X360 had a year start which gave it 5-6 milions of advantage

X360 had lower price for all the generation which let it increase advantage to 9 milions

Sales gap today is 3,5 milions.

And PS3 haven't even hit the magic $200 price range.

...Really Zlejedi?? I understand it had one year. But Xbox isnt selling less, its selling more. almost 2x On Black Friday and most likely this christmas too putting it even further.

NEXT generation I believe PS may overtake the next Xbox WW but this generation is over. The 1 year gap and Sales of Kinect has Destroyed PS chances. Its the truth. PS wont overtake this gen.

the fact is Sony think MS=Sega 2.0 so they thought they can kill 360 like PS2 kill DC

who care head star or not,if you powerful enough you can kill it fast even 1.5year head start

go back to 2005~2006's thread and find how many people think 360 can over 30m or even 24m(xbox numbers)

when the wiiu comes out this generation is over.   fact is without the red ring of death x360 would have put sony out of business long ago.  sony need to shut down free and go strictly plus to go out red

I know the flaws of 360 but Ps3 has had some too.

Im well aware of less exclusives ETC but the fact Stands 360 is still selling crazy. It doubled Ps3 Holiday sales and probably will again for christmas in the BIGGEST countries. Ps3 will NOT overtake 360 UNTIL the next generation

...it almost if not closed the gap of entire 2011 sales between both consoles. Ps3 has over 3 million to catch up too. And if Xbox sells alot more on Christmas I just dont see Ps3 overtaking UNTIL next generation.

You two seem to be ignoring that I agree PS will sell more next generation just not this one
