Forums - Gaming Discussion - FFXIII-2 getting negative reactions from people that have played 20-40 hours of the game.

I think everyone should accept FF is always going to receive criticism.

So its a personal opinion of one player?

Doubt its gonna affect sales or the scoring from several other groups or people.

Also the whole not getting into houses thing, it isnt new, it first started (from what I can remember) Xenosaga Episode 2.

Surprised he didnt mention anything about healing hp automatically after a battle and lack of MP. I find that to be a complete game changer on XIII compared to the other games in the series. SE is trying to differentiate XIII from the other games and their trying too hard imo.

Fanboy trolling is never going to affect sales.  If the general public cared about what fanboy or the internet gaming community thought, then you would think Modern Warfare 3 wouldn't sell a lot.  Despite pretty much pan-negative internet buzz and trolling, sale of MW3 is unaffected AND despite all the negativity, MW3 is on pace to outsell Black Ops and be the best selling game ever.

Why would the public care about what hardcore gamers feel about Call of Duty?

The game has stunning, realistic graphics and realistic war situations. People need to remember that mainstream gamers are graphics whores rather than love different art styles. Say what you want about Call of Duty, but the game does realistic war gameplay very well. That's how it became popular. The realism in its graphics and war situations and online multiplayer spread via word of mouth amongst the mainstream. The same thing happened with Monster Hunter in Japan.

Regenerating health isn't part of a realistic war situation.

Key word is "situation". We're not talking about how the player is affected by health meters and the controls. We're talking about the situation on the battlefield and how you have to adapt your tactics and use your support members to your benefit. Besides, it's possible to play Call of Duty with one shot deaths.

What happen when you get shot on the battlefield? Do you wait until your health regenerate by hiding behind cover or are taken from the battlefield to recieve treatment for your injure. Call of Duty has the setting for war but it's far from real war situation.

They'll get there, bro.

Just wait for Call of Duty: Modern Realistic Warfare.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Please sir, dont post fake thread like this. I was a Final Fantasy Fan until I played the Blehhhhh 13, the perfect Famitsu score for 13-2 give me hope, but the description in ur thread are so real that for a second that i feel like crying.

Please dont hurt other gamer.

People have gone way over the top with this FFXIII hate. FFX was linear aswell, it didnt have those pitiful little corridors at all but if you think about it you were basically running from A to B through most of the game.

You couldnt just go wherever you wanted at any time like you could in FFIX or XII (until you got the airship).

I hate both FFX and FFXIII.

Linearity sucks in RPGs. They should all be open world.

FFX is the best one of the lot. FFVII would be if it was remade.

That's a really bad generalization. Linearity can be bad in RPGs just like open world can be bad in RPGs. There are good and bad ways to go about doing them. What good is an open world if the world is lifeless and boring?

Edit: and I feel we're having a similar argument in multiple threads. xD

This reminds me the time first buyers from amazon.jp wrote all sort of negative reviews about Dragon Quest IX. Turns out to be one, if not the, best one in the series.

Couldn't care less about first buyers. Even worse if this is made by the hand of a troll.

It was pretty much proven this was made by the hands of a troll, if you pay close atention all the points claimed to be negatives are the things ppl were exited about and previews said were great about XIII-2, while the points he listed as negatives are the things ppl were concerned thinking it might not work and got mixed feelings from the previews. Classic work of a troll.
