Dr Grass, I admire you for taking part of this discussion and speaking up for the rights and integrity of animals.

I am a vegetarian for ethical reasons too, but less radical than you on the general topic of animal rights and ethics.

Please do not mistake my responding to all those points because I'm 'radical'... or fanatic... or whatever.

I just took time to respond to each argument I consider to be mildly insane. Sometimes you have to accentuate what you are trying to say in interesting ways.

People can do whatever the hell they want - that is the way of the world. But when they spread these falsities due to ignorance then I simply cannot let it go by unchallenged - sorry.

Aren't you more radical though? Isn't this an expression of you being radical, your very responces in this thread?

The word 'radical' is as misused as the word 'cult' imo. If, literally, you mean radical, then yes - my viewpoints differe radically from the average person's.

But this doesn't mean anything? The average person's beliefs are hardly worth celebrating are they?

LIke the word cult...look at these two condradictory defintions from the same dictionary:

  1. A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
  2. A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister

So nr.1 fits Christianity perfectly, while the second has no inherent meaning.
...I took the long way of making the point, so here's the end of it: Why would you label me radical when the only outcome will be that they think my intention is...
*drumrol*
''A person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform.''

...even though I've explicitly stated that everyone can do whatever the hell they want?

I hear you. But in the context of this thread "radical" is interpreted more like "radically differing views" rather than the second definition in bold text.

I wonder how gross Horse meat is to produce or in this case get from farm to fridge?

Dr. Grass if you are going to use one part of a dictionary's meaning should you not have to include the second part? Christianity is not small or is that what you are trying to say?

And I am an idiot so listen little  and read more.

Oh I see. My point was that if Slimebeast uses the word 'radical' then it gets misunderstood in the same way the word 'cult' is misunderstood. If you go tell your parents you're joining a cult the freak out, meanwhile, little Ryan just started going to church on Sundays

I was just questioning his use of that word.

I don't get your last sentance - therefore I am the idiot
