i swear this website is the land of nintenfanboys. because i'm sure is MS had anything to do with pokemon you would say how bad it is or ignore it.

in the end, pokemon is a kid anime. it has some good elements like almost every tv show but unfortunately its designed for a young audience and get hits in the face with censorship.
pokemon cannot die when shocked, blown up, or anything and death is only shown in a few episodes.
the bad guys never ever ever ever win.
the bad guys go good half the time.
Rap sucks, but "poke rap" of any kind makes babies cry. Sure, i could watch pokemon again, but would i ever commit to watch every pokemon? heck no.
want a good anime? watch the original mobile suit gundam.

You have to know one thing.

4Kids

Anything 4Kids touches turns to absolute shit, except for Shaman King for some reason (their translation of that was supposed to be quite good). If 4Kids can make the immaculate glory that is One Piece into a dumb show (and their version of it quite was), nothing can resist their insidious touch.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I watched the first two seasons like 1 billion years ago when I was 13 or something. About 6 months ago I got curious to know what had happened with the animes story since I knew it was still airing and read the synopsis of the seasons on wikipedia and I found out Ash never freaking won one Pokemon League wth???

Whats the point of the anime if the main dude is a failure ?

This is one thing that's really bothered me as well. The show keeps going ON and ON and right when they start getting to be good trainers, they ditch half the characters in the anime and the remaining ones get new baby pokemon and start from scratch. Not only that, they lose almost all previous knowledge gained and act like they've only been trainers for a week.

It's SO retarded... I loved the first season of Pokemon and to this day still love it due to nostalgia, but the show is a piece of crap in my opinion.

I tried doing this last year, before I enlisted in the military. I got through season 6 quick, started slowing in season 7, then season 8 killed it. That season is horribly boring. I went to basic training, then came back and tried to pick it up again. Got two more episodes down and haven't touched it since.

I don't get why the keep the same character for every season. Ash just seems like a pathetic idiot. You'd think after several years of training he would be a pokemon master and the fact that he restarts his pokemon every season is dumb.

He should have beat the pokemon league and based the next season someone based off Gold and Sliver games with the red haired guy as pokemon thief. Then Ash can come in once in a while as a cameo and Gold beating him at the end of the series.

I stopped watching after he didn't win the pokemon league two times in a row.

he wins sometimes and loses sometimes, in the first season he kept winning and wining until the last battle.

atleast in the new ones he doesn't always win, nor he always loses.

If you watched one Pokemon episode then you watch them all.

mad props i tried got to the end of season 1 and i realized wat people here are saying

cant understand how ash isnt slaying everyone he beat the orange islands champ (my fav 2 eps btw that battle was classsssic) and he gets smoked everytime he hits a new region cause he forgets water beats fire types or something like that. i love the gym battles but it stopped mattering for me once i realized ash resets all his knowledge after every season. also, pikachu loses to fuckin starters in like season 4 how is that possible it blooooows my mind and misty was hot may was hot dawn is hot so thats the end of that theyre alll good

but tell me does ash ever become an elite trainer and does it ever take on some sort of overreaching story

but god i loved it in the beginning, i still watch it from time to time for the bomb fanservice

Everyday I'm hustlin'.

Wii and DS owner.

imo the games are much better and more interesting...

he never wants to be an club trainer, because he wants to travel the world and such, but he does win some tournaments and lose some
