at the end of each year, at least for the past two years ive been on vgchartz, when the yearly totals come in we find out two things.  the ps3 has been greatly undertracked and the 360 has been somewhat overtracked.  so even if the 360 does outsell the ps3, it wont be by much, and when the adjusted totals come in ps3 will probably be up close to a million.  

What are you talking about? Sounds like someone is a little scared that the 360 has a chance of out selling the PS3. Anyway 360 will come close but it will just miss.

IMO, the PS3 sales in the other regions aren't tracked well. Right now, it needs to do significantly more in the Americas if 1 million is the milestone.

It's really hard to overcome those US numbers. The xbox 360 is the Wii in the US now there's no way the PS3 can match it.

Outside US, UK, Japan and some other Europe countries the VGC track is bad, especially this time of year.

The PS3 sold more in these countries not tracked by VGC... so due that these adjustments happen.

The end of the year report will be that all the hard work and price reduction Sony did this year was all for loss as the 360 simply wiped it all away at the end of the year. With the final point being that at the end of the year the price for the 360 remained the same while the PS3 had to drop $50.

This NPD will be telling, so far in U.S they're flat (although we have them up 200k yoy for this month) and flat in Japan. Europe had GT5 last year, so the cut needs to have been more successful than that (which isn't too hard to imagin)

Either way, so far, we havn't seen any solid proof the PS3 is up that much

The 360 not received a official price cut but it price is not the same... it had the price reduced by nearly all stores .

The XBox 360 becomes the new Wii in the Americas. I like the sound of that. 360 does not feel like a 6 year old console with all its new additions/features and Kinect has helped sales a lot.
