Downloaded the update today, didn't take as long as I expected. The 3D recording and new StreetPass Mii Plaza content are brilliant.

anyone tried to copy a video to the 3DS that lasts more than 10 minutes?

if it supports long videos, we can actually get a 32gb SD and watch 3D movies

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I tried it, and it doesn't work, but at least the video player works.

Have you gotten non-3DS-recorded video to work at all? I have been unable to, mostly because FFMpeg is apparently not meant for Windows at all and my efforts with other software have proven vain

Yes, I have gotten other videos to work. I have been using the FFMpeg.exe file, and the converter on XP. Just use one of the several GUIs that they give you on this forum thread.

It seems to take forever to run, but that could just be an issue on my end

Thanks a lot for the tip

If you are converting a long movie, or using an ancient computer, it will take a while. Just another tip.

7 minute normal-res SD vid (640 x 480), already in .avi so it can't be that, quite small, and my computer is a 3.2 GHz with 2 Gigs RAM (although half of that is always being eaten by Vista, but still)
